We're looking for someone who values integrity, accountability, confidentiality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.About the RoleAs Senior Bookkeeper, you'll own many of the company's day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring financial information remains accurate, organized, timely, and reliable.Responsibilities include:<ul><li>Manage daily bookkeeping and accounting operations.</li><li>Process vendor invoices while ensuring proper coding, approvals, and documentation.</li><li>Prepare, print, and distribute checks and process electronic payments.</li><li>Initiate and process bank wire transfers accurately and securely.</li><li>Complete monthly bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.</li><li>Assist with month-end close activities and maintain accurate financial records.</li><li>Maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are properly recorded.</li><li>Track company expenses and ensure accurate classification.</li><li>Support billing, payment processing, and vendor account management.</li><li>Prepare recurring financial reports and assist with reporting requested by leadership.</li><li>Serve as a primary point of contact for internal financial questions and accounting support.</li><li>Coordinate workflow and task completion for the accounting Virtual Assistant.</li><li>Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, organization, and efficiency.</li><li>Handle highly confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion.</li><li>Partner closely with the CFO and other key leaders to support financial operations and organizational success.</li></ul>This Is NOT an Entry-Level Bookkeeping PositionThis role is not designed for someone whose experience has been limited to basic accounts payable, accounts receivable, data entry, or administrative support.We're looking for someone who has independently owned accounting processes, understands the importance of accuracy and internal controls, and can confidently manage multiple financial responsibilities with minimal oversight.Success in this role requires attention to detail, strong judgment, excellent organization, urgency, confidentiality, and the ability to consistently execute critical financial tasks without sacrificing accuracy.What You Bring<ul><li>5+ years of progressive bookkeeping or accounting experience.</li><li>Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.</li><li>Experience supporting real estate, construction, property management, or project-based accounting environments is strongly preferred.</li><li>Strong experience using QuickBooks in a professional business environment.</li><li>Demonstrated experience completing month-end close activities and account reconciliations.</li><li>Experience maintaining an accurate general ledger.</li><li>Experience processing invoices, payments, checks, and bank wire transfers.</li><li>Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial recordkeeping.</li><li>Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.</li><li>Ability to handle confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion.</li><li>Strong technology skills and comfort learning new systems.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Experience supporting leadership and working collaboratively across departments.</li><li>Experience coordinating or overseeing support staff is preferred.</li><li>Ability and willingness to work on-site in York, PA every workday.</li></ul>If you're someone who takes pride in getting the details right, enjoys building organized financial systems, and wants a position where your work directly supports company success, we'd love to hear from you.Please complete the screening questions with your application so we can better understand your experience and alignment with this opportunity.Completing the screening questions is required for consideration.Please do not call or visit the office regarding this position.
