REPORTS TO: HR Manager 
BASIC FUNCTION:
The HR Intern will be an active part of our team and will gain exposure to a variety of human resources practices on an everyday basis. This a full time 40 hours paid internship. The hours for this position are flexible within our normal operating hours of M-F 8:00am - 5:00pm.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
<ul><li>New hire orientation &amp; onboarding process preparation
</li><li>Employee Newsletter planning, editing, layout, publishing &amp; distribution
</li><li>Assists employees with questions and greets visitors
</li><li>Supports and participates in various HR-related events and projects
</li><li>Responsible for Attendance Tracking
</li><li>Process employment verifications
</li><li>Administers Visitor Badge process and badge access control
</li><li>Schedules and tracks business-unit required trainings, communications, lunch and learns etc.
</li><li>Assists with Employee Service Award Recognition Program
</li><li>Completes HR filing and document retention
</li><li>Other duties as assigned
</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
<ul><li>Must currently be enrolled in an Associates or Bachelors level program related to Human Resources
</li><li>3.0 GPA or higher desired.
</li><li>Comfortable in a fast paced environment and handling multiple priorities at once
</li><li>Must be able to handle sensitive/ confidential information in a professional manner
</li><li>Ability to address situations with good judgment and integrity
</li><li>Excellent task management, prioritization, and organizational skills
</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills
</li><li>Ability to build strong business relationships
</li><li>Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Products (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
</li><li>Available 40 hours per week
