CCTV Engineer &ndash; Job DescriptionPosition OverviewA CCTV Engineer is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) systems and related security equipment. The role ensures that surveillance systems operate reliably and comply with safety, security, and operational standards.Key Responsibilities1. Installation &amp; Configuration<ul><li>Install CCTV cameras, NVR/DVR systems, IP cameras, access points, and related security hardware.</li><li>Configure video management systems (VMS), network settings, storage solutions, and user access controls.</li><li>Perform cable pulling, termination, and testing (Cat5/6, coaxial, fiber).</li><li>Mount and align cameras for optimal coverage and image quality.</li></ul>2. System Maintenance &amp; Support<ul><li>Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and upgrades of CCTV infrastructure.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues.</li><li>Replace faulty components and ensure minimal downtime.</li><li>Monitor system performance and perform firmware/software updates.</li></ul>3. Technical Documentation<ul><li>Prepare installation reports, wiring diagrams, floor plans, and maintenance logs.</li><li>Maintain up-to-date asset inventory of CCTV equipment.</li><li>Document configuration settings and project handover files.</li></ul>4. Network &amp; Security Integration<ul><li>Integrate CCTV systems with existing IT networks, access control, alarms, and monitoring platforms.</li><li>Ensure compliance with security protocols, data protection, and privacy regulations.</li><li>Work with IT teams to manage IP addresses, VLANs, and network bandwidth issues.</li></ul>5. Customer &amp; Stakeholder Support<ul><li>Provide on-site and remote technical support to clients and internal teams.</li><li>Conduct end-user training for monitoring staff or system operators.</li><li>Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and project managers to complete installations on schedule.</li></ul>Required Skills &amp; QualificationsTechnical Skills<ul><li>Strong knowledge of CCTV technologies: IP/analog cameras, NVR/DVR, VMS platforms, storage systems.</li><li>Proficiency in networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, PoE, routers, switches).</li><li>Experience with cabling standards and electrical fundamentals.</li><li>Familiarity with brands like Hikvision, Dahua, Axis, Bosch, Milestone, etc.</li><li>Ability to read technical drawings and site plans.</li></ul>Soft Skills<ul><li>Problem-solving and analytical skills.</li><li>Good communication and client-facing abilities.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Time management and project coordination skills</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: Up to &#8377;25,000.00 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Cell phone reimbursement</li><li>Provident Fund</li></ul>Work Location: In person
