(CreatorCamp.org)As seen on Shark Tank, Creator Camp is an indoor creative summer program dedicated to teaching animation, filmmaking, YouTube content creation, Minecraft modding, Roblox game design, and music production to kids ages 6 to 13.We envision a future where every child perceives technology not merely as a means to consume content, but as a powerful tool for creating and expressing their unique visions.Within 4 years, Creator Camp has become one of the fastest-growing creative technology summer camps in the US and has recently welcomed Shark Tank investor Barbara Corcoran to the team.About the Lead CounselorCreator Camp is seeking dynamic and creative Lead Counselors for our summer 2025 session. As a Lead Counselor, you will inspire and educate children in various creative disciplines, including animation, filmmaking, game design, music production, content creation, and entrepreneurship.The summer program runs for 8-10 weeks. Lead Counselors may expect 24-40 hours per week, depending on enrollment. Remote training will begin Mid-April, and an in-person orientation will be held in Mid-May.Qualifications<ul><li>At least ONE year of classroom experience, which can include roles such as tutoring, summer camp counseling, coaching, teacher's assistant, or art instruction.</li><li>Minimum of TWO years of experience working with children, whether through babysitting, tutoring, supervising younger siblings, or working in daycare facilities.</li><li>Higher education in fields related to digital art, filmmaking, animation, coding, music production, game design, entrepreneurship, early childhood education, secondary education, OR special education.</li><li>Knowledge of and interest in Minecraft and/or Roblox</li><li>Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.</li><li>Willingness to lead classes in multiple subjects.</li><li>Willingness to get pie in the face by a student</li><li>Must pass a background check.</li><li>You MUST be available for at least 4 consecutive weeks from June 2 to August 8.</li></ul>Responsibilities<ul><li>Deliver course content related to your expertise, whether it's digital art, filmmaking, animation, coding, music production, or game design.</li><li>Report to the Camp Manager.</li><li>Supervise a class of 6-30 students with the help of an Assistant Counselor.</li><li>Actively participate in students' projects; for instance, some students might involve you in their film creations.</li><li>Monitor students and organize activities during recess and lunch breaks.</li><li>Craft personalized 'Thank You' cards for students at the end of camp to inspire their creative journeys.</li><li>Prepare the classroom for the next day by organizing and tidying up.</li><li>Collaborate in hosting the Creator Camp Oscars Ceremony and present students with their well-earned trophies.</li><li>Facilitate the check-in and check-out process during drop-off and pick-up.</li></ul>Apply if you...<ul><li>Are a creative person looking to connect with other creative-minded people</li><li>Are a natural educator</li><li>Adapt quickly to new apps, software, or technology</li><li>Enjoy being surrounded by kids</li><li>Find Minecraft and/or Roblox fun</li><li>Genuinely down with our mission</li></ul>Apply via our website for PRIORITY consideration:https://www.creatorcamp.org/join-our-teamJob Type: Full-timePay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>Employee discount</li></ul>Work Location: In person
