Crescent Hotels and Resorts is seeking an experienced individual to join our team at the Colonial Williamsburg Resort to fill the position of Director of Agronomy to oversee the maintenance, operation, and management of resort golf courses.

Here is what you will be doing:
<ul>
<li>Supervise the mowing, watering and maintenance of tees, greens, fairways and related areas.</li>
<li>Supervise the planting, fertilizing and maintenance of turf.</li>
<li>Supervise the installation and care of golf course landscaping including trees, shrubs, grasses, ornamental plants, water features, irrigations systems, etc.</li>
<li>Generally supervise the operation of equipment repair shop.</li>
<li>Layout and direct the construction of greens, bunkers, tees and fairways as needed.</li>
<li>Basic computer skills to create personnel and cost estimates for the annual Agronomy budget.</li>
<li>Order supplies and materials within budgetary limitations.</li>
<li>Work with vendors and contractors to obtain bids, and schedule and complete contracted work.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain short- and long-term Capex planning.</li>
<li>Ensure preventive maintenance practices are being followed to care for all assets.</li>
<li>Hire, train, plan, assign and direct the work of others.</li>
<li>Prepare clear and concise reports.</li>
<li>Prepare annual budget.</li>
<li>Maintain effective employee, Member and public relations.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications we are seeking:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or four to six years of experience in golf course maintenance.</li>
<li>Extensive experience and knowledge of:
<ul><li>Construction and maintenance of golf course tees, fairways, bunkers, and greens</li>
<li>Production and maintenance of the types of turf used on golf courses</li>
<li>Planting, cultivating, pruning and caring for plants, shrubs and trees</li>
<li>Proper use of various fertilizers and soil conditioners</li>
<li>Herbicides and pest control methods and materials</li>
<li>Drainage control methods</li>
<li>Water and irrigation systems including wells, pumps and automatic controls</li>
<li>Construction and maintenance of golf cart paths</li>
</ul></li><li>Ability to maintain tees, fairways, bunkers, greens, and appurtenances to an acceptable standard of golf course play.</li>
<li>Should have a participating knowledge of the game of golf.</li>

Here is what you will be doing each day:

In this role, you will serve beverages and/or food to the guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely and manner, resulting in guest satisfaction. Also, to prepare beverages for other servers to supply to guests, and act as cashier for the bar. You will maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar, which includes requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce based on projections from the daily functions sheet. You will be responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to insure product quality. Greeting guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promotes and documents orders for drinks. Mixing, garnishing and presenting drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control. Handling of all cash and credit card transactions using the point of sale to create a check for each guest to maintain accountability of all beverages served.

Part-time Restaurant PM Bartender/Server

<div>JOB OVERVIEW: Greet and serve the guests according to standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Take and serve guest orders promptly and according to service manual.

2. Do all necessary set-up sidework as assigned.

3. Answer any guest questions about the menu.

4. Operate the electronic cash register/P.O.S. system (where applicable).

5. Check food before serving it to guest to ascertain that appearance, temperature and portions are correct.

6. Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to &ldquo;pitch-in&rdquo; and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking. Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.
