At the Courtyard by Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront South 25th Street, we are looking for an enthusiastic Front Desk Agent to join our team and wow our guests!

Overview:
The Front Desk Agent is responsible for assisting guests with check-in and check-out, answers and processes all phone calls received, plus handles all special requests for services or information, in accordance with standard policies and procedures.

Key Duties &amp; Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.</li><li>
Anticipate guests needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.</li><li>
Maintain positive guest relations at all times.</li><li>

Maintain complete knowledge at all times of: a) all hotel features/services, hours of operation. b) all room rates, special packages and promotions. c) daily house count and expected arrivals/departures. d) scheduled daily group activities.</li><li>

Keep bank secure at all times.</li><li>
Answer department telephone within 3 rings, using correct greeting and telephone etiquette.</li><li>
Process all guest check-ins.</li><li>
Verify registration card information with the guest.</li><li>
Obtain back-up information for guest credit/payment method and input into system; collect cash when designated.</li><li>
Direct Bell Person to escort guest and transport their luggage to the room.</li><li>
Handle overbooked or walked in guests.</li><li>
Accept and record wake-up call requests.</li><li>
Monitor, send and distribute guest faxes.</li><li>
Communicate pertinent guest information to designated departments/personnel (i.e., special requests, amenity delivery).</li><li>
Resolve discrepancies on the room status report with Housekeeping.</li><li>
Match the bucket check to in-house guest ledger report; report discrepancies to Manager.</li><li>
Process all check-outs.</li><li>
Process adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, miscellaneous charges.</li></ul>
Education and Experience:<ul><li>
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).</li><li>
One year previous experience in a similar position in a hotel.</li><li>
Basic computer skills required.</li></ul>

Overview:
The Breakfast Attendant sets up the dining area for daily meals. Ensures side work is complete prior to meal service and prior to leaving for the day. Prepares deli items, salad bar, and other items as designated by supervisor, following approved recipes. Ensures food is of proper quality. Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of all work surface areas, food service areas, coolers, tables, counters, chairs, and floor. Follows the &quot;clean as you always go policy. Monitors associate food use and tallies meals consumed.

Key Duties &amp; Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Maintain complete knowledge of a) Hours of operation and proper table set -ups for the dining area. b) Expected number of meals to be served. c) Safety and sanitation requirements. d) Proper storage procedures. Complete opening duties as assigned: a) Check quality and amount of all breakfast stock and supplies using checklist. b) Requisition necessary supplies according to standard. c) Transport supplies and equipment to the dining area. d) Prepare and set up all condiments and non-alcoholic beverages. e) Stock designated supply of silverware, glassware, chinaware, utensils, tools, and other equipment for service. f) Inspect cleanliness and condition of tables and service areas; rectify any deficiencies. g) Set tables. h) Set up and prepare the service line/areas. i)</li><li>
Ensure that all equipment is in working order and clean; rectify any deficiencies and report maintenance problems to the manager or purchaser. Receive food from Kitchen and place in designated holding areas at specified temperatures.</li><li>

Maintain supply levels of stock, food, and non-alcoholic beverages to designated amounts throughout scheduled hours of operation.</li><li>

Obtain replacements for 86'd items as directed by the Kitchen.</li><li>

Wipe dining tables clean and replenish tabletop condiments throughout the shift.</li><li>
Clean up spills immediately.</li><li>

 Return unused food to designated areas and store.</li><li>
Clean and sanitize service lines, beverage dispensing equipment and other equipment, following procedures.</li><li>
Restock stations for next meal period.</li><li>
Complete closing side duties as assigned.</li><li>

Report any equipment damages, safety hazards, maintenance problems and personnel problems to the Manager.</li><li>

Overview:
The Banquet Bartender will mix and serve drinks to guest in accordance with hotel standards of food and beverage quality, presentation, sanitation, and warm hospitality. 
 
Key Duties &amp; Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Collect money for drinks.</li><li>
Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.</li><li>
Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.</li><li>
Balance cash receipts.</li><li>
Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to stop drinking or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated patrons.</li><li>
Stock bar with beer, wine, liquor, and related supplies such as ice, glassware, napkins, or straws.</li><li>
Serve wine and bottled or draft beer.</li><li>
Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons.</li><li>
Clean bars, work areas, and tables.</li><li>

Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.</li><li>

Plan, organize, and control the operations of a cocktail lounge or bar.</li><li>
Order or requisition liquors and supplies.</li><li>
Prepare all drink orders for guests according to specified recipes.</li><li>
Maintain complete knowledge of P.O.S. and manual systems.</li></ul>
Education and Experience:<ul><li>
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Preferred.</li><li>
Experience in Bartending as Bartender or Barback.</li><li>
Minimum of 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.</li><li>
1 year experience as a Bartender or Barback.</li><li>
Must be TIPS, CARE (or equivalent) certified, or become certified by first day on the job.</li><li>
Must have good understanding of the English language.</li><li>
Good written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>
Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.</li><li>
Compute basic arithmetic.</li><li>
Knowledge of various drink recipes and beverage service standards.</li></ul>
