As our business looks to deliver its ambitious strategy of growth, we are looking for an Imports Specialist to join our Supply Chain team to lead Imports into India including customs clearance, ensuring accurate classification of goods using HSN codes, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely and efficient material inward processes.
 
 
 You will be responsible for import operations, preparation of documents for custom clearance, dealing with custom brokers and freight agencies, coordination with customer service &amp; operations teams and drive continuous improvement in imports.

 Degree qualified in Supply chain Management or Global Trade
 
 
 Proven experience in Import operations and Documentation, preferably dealing with speciality chemicals, Pharmaceuticals or Personal care ingredients
 
 
 Strong understanding of HSN codes, customs procedures, and import documentation.
 
 
 Familiarity with regulatory requirements for products containing animal and plant derivatives, Dangerous Goods, Haz trans and Warehousing Legislation
 
 
 Sound knowledge of SAP, Demand Planning &amp; Sales Forecasting Software, Database Software and Excel
 
 
 Strong communicator and persuader with good negotiation skills
 
 
 Highly numerate with attention to detail
 
 
 Comfortable working to tight deadlines
 
 
 
 What You&rsquo;ll Be Doing

 Lead Import Operations and Compliance, including documentation, customs and coordination with freight forwarders/Customs brokers.
 
 
 Ensure accurate classification of imported goods using appropriate HSN codes, especially for chemical products with specific end uses.
 
 
 Analyze team performance and operational workflows to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
 
 
 Lead short-term and long-term supply chain and customer service improvement projects (3&ndash;6 months).
 
 
 Develop and revise working procedures for customer service, sales, logistics, and warehouse teams.
 
 
 Liaise with supply chain teams across Croda divisions, with a specific focus on Croda Europe, USA to drive global process alignment.
 
 
 Provide timely and accurate material availability updates to customer service teams.
 
 
 Generate purchase orders for all imported materials and services.
 
 
 Coach and advise team members, deputizing when required to resolve supply issues in coordination with manufacturing sites.
 
 
 Train and develop customer service, logistics, and warehouse teams in SAP (Key User role).
 
 
 Collaborate with sales managers to analyze sales and stock levels for consignment customers.
 
 
 Ensure sales representatives and managers are trained and informed on consignment processes.
 
 
 Lead and control invoice processing for Croda Nordica.
 
 
 Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints through effective cross-departmental coordination.

 As our Industrial Specialties business looks to deliver its ambitious strategy of growth, we are looking for a Process Development Scientist to join our organisation to support the team for process development activities, technology transfer and scale-up of new products at site.
 
 
 Reporting into the Process Development Manager, you will be responsible for process development and scaling up chemistries from the Lab and from other sites of Croda.

 Degree qualified in Organic Chemistry
 
 
 Strong understanding of formulations and synthesis processes.
 
 
 Proficient in process modeling, data analysis, and statistical tools.
 
 
 Hands-on experience with lab equipment, pilot plant operations, and safety systems.
 
 
 Experience with scale-up, process intensification, and/or continuous manufacturing is a plus

 Design and develop robust and scalable chemical processes for new or existing products.
 
 
 Conduct laboratory experiments, interpret data, and translate results into actionable process improvements.
 
 
 Participate in the technology transfer and scale-up till plant level.
 
 
 Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&amp;D, process engineering, manufacturing, and EHS to ensure successful process implementation.
 
 
 Support scale-up from lab to pilot and commercial production; provide technical input during plant trials.
 
 
 Identify and resolve technical challenges in manufacturing.
 
 
 Perform risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
 
 
 Develop and maintain process documentation including SOPs, batch records, and process flow diagrams.
 
 
 Monitor process performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
 
 
 Stay current with technological advances and trends in process development and chemical engineering
