The Study Director/Scientist at Crown Bioscience North Carolina will be responsible for the design, execution, and analysis of in vivo pharmacology studies, contributing to the development of novel research models and techniques. This role will involve close collaboration with internal research associates, cross-site scientific teams, and external partners. The Scientist will also play a key role in mentoring and training junior staff, supporting operational activities in the facility, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality scientific data.</div><div></div><div>
Responsibilities:</div><ul><li> Lead the planning, execution, and oversight of assigned internal and external scientific projects.</li><li> Design experimental studies, develop and optimize protocols, and ensure timely delivery of study updates, progress reports, and final reports.</li><li> Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on assigned studies, providing scientific updates and resolving study-related issues.</li><li> Collaborate cross-functionally with technical and operational teams to ensure smooth execution and delivery of studies.</li><li> Troubleshoot scientific and operational issues as they arise.</li><li> Support training of research associates on scientific techniques, including surgical procedures in rodent models.</li><li> Assist in coordination of general research facility operations.</li><li> Adhere to company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.</li><li> Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.</li></ul><div></div><div>
Minimum Requirements:</div><ul><li> Ph.D. or M.D. in a biology-related field with strong knowledge in pharmacology, oncology, or immunology; Master&rsquo;s degree with extensive pharmacology experience may be considered.</li><li> Proficient in literature review, experimental design, protocol development, data analysis, and scientific reporting.</li><li> Skilled in data interpretation and statistical analysis.</li><li> Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present scientific findings effectively.</li><li> Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.</li><li> Strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and collaborative mindset.</li></ul><div></div><div>

Study Director/Scientist, Preclinical In Vivo Oncology

The purpose of the Study Coordinator I position is to support the execution of in vitro and in vivo pharmacology studies by coordinating the technical execution of projects. This includes scheduling, creating and distributing study-related documents, as well as providing hands-on assistance. The Study Coordinator will provide operational input to Study Directors (Scientists) on study protocol design, and they will serve as a team leader for a group of Research Associates whose primary responsibility is executing the hands-on portion of any given study.</div><div></div><div>
Responsibilities:</div><ul><li>Coordinate the successful execution of client studies with various internal departments</li><li>Create and distribute study-related documentation and other materials for required for execution</li><li>Support Study Directors (Scientists) in scientific protocol development</li><li>Schedule studies with operational flexibility while maintaining competitive timelines</li><li>Maintain a daily schedule of all tasks that must be executed by Research Associates</li><li>Monitor and assure quality of data collection</li><li>Provide hands-on In-vivo support for study milestones</li><li>Provide drug formulation, if needed</li><li>Ordering study-related materials</li><li>Conduct work activities in compliance with all relevant regulations including ethics, environmental health and safety, financial, human resources, SOPs, and general business policies, requirements and objectives</li></ul><div></div><div>

Study Coordinator I, Technical Operation

The Research Associate (RA) at Crown Bioscience North Carolina will support the execution of in vivo research studies, contributing to the advancement of oncology and pharmacology research. The RA will work closely with scientists and senior research staff to carry out experiments, maintain animal models, collect and analyze data, and assist in the development of novel research techniques. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of preclinical studies.</div><div></div><div>
Responsibilities:</div><ul><li> Assist study director/scientist and senior research associates (SRA) in the design and execution of research studies, including protocol and IACUC documentation.</li><li> Develop, maintain, and manage xenograft models, including patient-derived xenografts (PDX), in rodent models.</li><li> Perform in vivo procedures such as tumor cells inoculation/tumor fragment transplantation, tumor measurement, compound dosing (oral, IP, IV, etc.), and biological sample collection (blood, tissue, etc.), etc.</li><li> Collect, organize, and interpret experimental data using standard data analysis software and methodologies.</li><li> Contribute to the preparation of reports, summaries, and presentations of research findings.</li><li> Collaborate with team members across departments and participate in internal/external project meetings to support study execution.</li><li> Maintain precise and organized documentation of experimental procedures and results in lab records and study files.</li><li> Ensure adherence to animal welfare regulations, research protocols, and laboratory best practices.</li><li> Complete additional assignments or tasks as delegated by supervisors.</li></ul><div></div><div>
Minimum Requirements:</div><ul><li> Bachelor's degree in biology, pharmacology, physiology, animal science, or a related field.</li><li> Strong analytical, observational, and problem-solving skills.</li><li> Familiarity with in vivo research techniques and experience working with animal models.</li><li> Proficiency in data collection and basic data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, GraphPad Prism).</li><li> Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li> Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.</li></ul><div></div><div>
