This is not a typical accounting role</h5>
We&rsquo;re looking for a hands-on Finance &amp; Operations Specialist to take ownership of bookkeeping and day-to-day financial operations in a small U.S. entity of an international medical company.
You&rsquo;ll be the go-to person for everything related to finance &mdash; from managing QuickBooks and handling invoices to supporting operational processes and coordinating with international stakeholders.
This is a hybrid role, with flexibility to work remotely and 1 day per week on-site in Wake Forest, NC.<h5 class="jobSectionHeader">
What you&rsquo;ll be doing</h5><ul><li>
Manage full-cycle bookkeeping in QuickBooks (GL, P&amp;L, balance sheet accuracy)</li><li>
Process incoming and outgoing invoices, payments, and collections</li><li>
Monitor cash flow and ensure timely financial operations</li><li>
Oversee order intake and support end-to-end order processing</li><li>
Maintain Shopify and ensure proper integration with QuickBooks</li><li>
Coordinate with external tax advisors / CPA</li><li>
Monitor and respond to finance-related email accounts (customers, suppliers, warehouse)</li><li>
Handle weekly physical mail, including checks and related admin tasks</li></ul><h5 class="jobSectionHeader">
What we&rsquo;re looking for</h5><ul><li>
3&ndash;5 years of hands-on QuickBooks experience (daily use)</li><li>
Strong bookkeeping knowledge (GL, P&amp;L, invoicing, reconciliation)</li><li>
Ability to work independently and take full ownership of finance processes</li><li>
High attention to detail and reliability</li><li>
Fluent English</li><li>
Ability to be on-site once per week in Wake Forest, NC</li></ul><h5 class="jobSectionHeader">
Nice to have</h5><ul><li>
Experience with Shopify or similar platforms</li><li>
Background in small companies or standalone finance roles</li><li>
Experience in regulated industries (e.g. medical devices)</li></ul><h5 class="jobSectionHeader">
Not the right fit if</h5><ul><li>
You don&rsquo;t have hands-on QuickBooks experience</li><li>
You prefer highly specialized roles (e.g., only FP&amp;A, only AP/AR)</li><li>
You&rsquo;re looking for a fully remote position</li><li>
You&rsquo;re not comfortable working independently in a one-person finance role</li></ul><h5 class="jobSectionHeader">
