We are searching for a full-time Medical Assistant/Scribe who will operate as part of a physician team within our practice. Our Medical Scribes are required to record detailed and accurate medical information in the electronic medical record (EMR) under the direct supervision of a physician. Medical Scribes will be cross trained to work in our Front Office as well as in Medical Assistant duties. Travel to all five office locations is a requirement - West Hartford, Simsbury, Manchester, Middletown, Hamden.Hours for this position range between 7:30am-7:00pm Monday - Friday.Specific Medical Assistant responsibilities include:<ul><li>Direct hands-on patient care including obtaining vital signs, allergy skin testing and spirometry.</li><li>Preparing patient exam rooms</li><li>Documentation in the electronic medical record</li><li>Understanding of medical terminology including medication names and willingness to learn</li></ul>Specific Medical Scribe responsibilities include:<ul><li>Ability to document medical visits and procedures accurately and thoroughly as they are being performed by the physician including medical history, physical examination, test results, patient education, physician dictated diagnoses</li><li>Understanding of medical terminology including medication names and willingness to learn</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Typing speed of greater than 75 words per minute without errors.</li><li>Strong computer skills and ability to navigate an EMR</li><li>High level of professionalism</li><li>Strong customer service skills</li><li>Organizational skills</li><li>Reliable attendance and punctuality</li><li>Ability to mutitask</li><li>Organizational skills</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Experience as a Scribe is preferred but not required</li><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree preferred but not required</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In personJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Paid training</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: From $18.00 per hourExpected hours: 37 &ndash; 40 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
