The practicing podiatrist is responsible to diagnose and treat all conditions relating to the lower legs, feet, and ankles. Their duties include consulting with patients, practicing evidence-based medicine with best practices, prescribing appropriate medication and devices as indicated for the condition, and performing all necessary procedures and surgeries to remedy patients' conditions. Continued education on medical advancements and treatments is expected.</div>
