Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to support our law firm&rsquo;s civil litigation practice area. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The Legal Secretary will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the law office by managing case files, legal documentation, handling court e-filings, calendaring and billing.Duties<ul><li>Work for named partner and have client contact</li><li>Manage legal case files and document management systems such as Clio</li><li>E-filing</li><li>Draft, review, and proofread legal documents including contracts, pleadings, and correspondence</li><li>Use LexisNexis for facts, forms and limited research for civil litigation</li><li>Maintain accurate data entry and filing systems for case management and client records</li><li>Schedule appointments, court dates, and meetings with clients</li><li>Use Clio for calendaring, billing and document control</li><li>Handle phone etiquette professionally while managing inquiries from clients</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Prior legal administrative experience is a must</li><li>Familiarity with civil litigation is required</li><li>Experience with legal case management software including Clio is necessary</li><li>Ability to use LexisNexis to gather pertinent legal information, facts and forms a plus</li><li>Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently</li><li>Excellent proofreading and writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence</li><li>Experience with data entry, filing systems, and clerical tasks within a busy law office environment</li><li>Ability to e-file with courts required</li><li>Knowledge of calendaring of usual deadlines necessary</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hourExpected hours: 20 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible schedule</li></ul>Work Location: In person
