Job Summary:
The Part-Time Kitchen Server/Professional Shopper is responsible for performing the tasks of the kitchen server and other supporting roles where business needs arise, including a back-up for the role of Procurement (Professional Shopper).
Kitchen Server Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Attending on-site pre-study briefings at the beginning of each shift</li><li>
Become familiar with testing guidelines at start of each shift/job by thoroughly reading and comprehending the execution instructions</li><li>
Setting-up of testing area before fielding and breaking-down testing area at study completion</li><li>
Ensuring booth computer equipment is working for consumers</li><li>
Serving correct products, following sequence as indicated in project instructions and on RedJade serving console (or other data collection platform), and as directed by Test Supervisor</li><li>
Cleaning and sanitizing consumer areas after each session, resetting for next session</li><li>
Distributing product packages for consumers to evaluate for home use tests, if applicable</li><li>
Assisting in various kitchen duties as assigned by Test Supervisor, including labeling serving vessels, monitoring serving supplies and restocking as needed, pre-portioning products, or assisting with storing product</li><li>
Any other tasks as assigned by Test Supervisor, Testing Operations Manager, or Facility Director</li></ul>
Qualifications for Kitchen Server:<ul><li>
Clear and professional verbal communication skills</li><li>
Ability to work in groups, coordinating activities effectively</li><li>
Flexibility to adjust to last minute changes in schedule or work assignment</li><li>
Strong attention to detail</li><li>
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment</li><li>
Ability to read and understand instructions both written and via computer</li><li>
Strict attention to client confidentiality</li><li>
Customer service experience strongly preferred</li><li>
Restaurant serving experience a plus</li><li>
ServSafe certification required after successful completion of first three months of employment</li></ul>
Professional Shopper Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Pre-ordering, shopping, and picking up consumer test products at local grocery stores and online</li><li>
Interacting and building professional relationships with grocery store managers or other procurement suppliers</li><li>
Maintaining product integrity during delivery to Curion (coolers, blue ice packs, dry ice)</li><li>
Handling special procurement requests, such as matching date codes, lot codes, or package size requirements</li><li>
Keeping detailed notes of items while shopping (ex: dates found at specific stores)</li><li>
Notifying Test Supervisor, Testing Operations Manager, or Inventory Technician (where applicable) when product is delivered to ensure timely attention to updating storage labels, labeling product with J# or P#, and proper storage</li><li>
Ensuring Test Supervisor, Testing Operations Manager, or Inventory Technician (where applicable) follow product storage requirements as related to refrigeration or freezing</li><li>
Safeguarding corporate credit card or debit card</li><li>
Entering receipts and mileage into expense reimbursement software on same day of purchase</li><li>
Submitting evidence of current driver&rsquo;s license and auto insurance periodically as new or updated cards are issued and communicate with supervisor if driving privileges become revoked/suspended</li><li>
Assisting kitchen team with field technician duties if needed and time permits</li><li>
Other tasks as requested by supervisor</li></ul>
Qualifications for Professional Shopper:<ul><li>
Ability to use the internet to research consumer products</li><li>
Articulate, professional, and responsible</li><li>
Successfully pass credit and background checks to be issued a company credit card</li><li>
Organized with exceptional communication skills</li><li>
Comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks</li><li>
Reliable vehicle</li><li>
Valid driver&rsquo;s license with good driving record subject to driving record check and auto insurance that meets state requirements</li><li>
Attention to detail</li><li>
Flexible schedule (including potential evenings and weekends, when needed)</li><li>
Food safety knowledge is a plus</li><li>
ServSafe Food Handler Certification by end of first three months of employment</li><li>
Beginner-level experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)</li><li>
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis</li><li>
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on occasion, preferred</li><li>
Significant amount of walking and driving</li></ul>
For the Part-Time Kitchen Server/Professional Shopper position in Irving, Texas, Curion offers a starting hourly pay rate of $17.00&ndash;$18.00, depending on each candidate&rsquo;s qualifications and experience. This is a part-time, non-exempt position and is eligible for overtime compensation in accordance with applicable laws. While this position is not eligible for Curion&rsquo;s standard employee benefits package, employees in this role may participate in the Curion 401(k) Retirement Plan.
