Job Description:
Develop detailed mechanical designs for HVAC equipment using AutoCAD Inventor. Select and place components to create a detailed 3D model to be cut fabricated and formed to provide a complete HVAC unit. Compute mathematical formulas to develop and design, route and size ductwork based on airflow provided airflow per room.
Job Duties:<ul><li>
Develop 3D model with detailed mechanical designs for HVAC equipment</li><li>
Coordinate with and consult existing Designers to design, layout, and detail components and systems to resolve design or other problems</li><li>
Review and incorporate redline</li><li>
Compute mathematical formulas to develop and design, route and size ductwork based on airflow provided airflow per room</li><li>
Create Bill of Materials for each project</li><li>
Draw details of ductwork and ductwork accessories</li><li>
Consult technical handbooks and tables while in design phase</li><li>
Create and store drawings electronically using Vault</li><li>
Prepare variations of design</li><li>
Explain concepts to manufacturers and customers</li></ul> 
Qualifications Required:<ul><li>
Minimum experience includes 3 years in Engineering</li><li>
Proficient in AutoCAD Inventor</li><li>
Understand how HVAC equipment and components are assembled</li><li>
Proficient in Microsoft Office</li><li>
Read architectural, mechanical, and have a good understanding of basic electrical and mechanical control systems</li><li>
Strong communication, Interpersonal and organizational skills</li><li>
Select compressors, coils, fans, etc. for HVAC equipment a plus</li><li>
Available for travel less than 5%</li></ul>
