Landscape Foreman &ndash; Sod Installation &amp; Landscape ProjectsCut Rates Lawn Care LLC &ndash; Wichita, KS Full-Time | Weekly Pay | Leadership RoleAbout the RoleThis is a working foreman position leading landscape crews on sod installation and outdoor projects across Wichita.You will be responsible for both producing high-quality work and leading a small crew to complete jobs efficiently and correctly.Most projects will involve sod installation, grading, and lawn establishment, with opportunities to work on irrigation, drainage, planting, and more advanced landscape projects as the season progresses.A typical day includes reviewing the job scope, organizing materials and equipment, directing crew members, and ensuring the work is completed to standard.This role is for someone who takes ownership &mdash; someone who doesn&rsquo;t wait to be told what to do, but instead runs the job, solves problems, and gets it done right the first time.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Lead and work alongside a crew on sod installation and landscape projects</li><li>Perform and oversee grading, soil prep, and turf installation</li><li>Direct crew members and maintain productivity on job sites</li><li>Ensure all work meets company quality standards</li><li>Communicate clearly with management on job progress and needs</li><li>Maintain and protect equipment, tools, and vehicles</li><li>Identify and solve issues in the field without constant supervision</li><li>Assist with or lead irrigation installs, drainage work, and planting projects</li><li>Set the tone for work ethic, accountability, and professionalism</li></ul>Who This Role Is ForThis role is a strong fit for someone who:<ul><li>Has hands-on experience in landscaping or landscape construction</li><li>Has led crews or naturally steps into leadership on job sites</li><li>Takes pride in clean, professional finished work</li><li>Can keep a crew moving without cutting corners</li><li>Is comfortable making decisions in the field</li><li>Wants to grow into more advanced work like hardscapes, drainage systems, or specialty installs</li></ul>Minimum Requirements<ul><li>2+ years of experience in landscaping, sod installation, or outdoor construction</li><li>Experience operating landscaping equipment (skid steer, sod cutter, etc. is a plus)</li><li>Ability to read job scopes and execute without constant direction</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license</li><li>Ability to perform physical outdoor work daily</li></ul>Preferred (Not Required, But Valued)<ul><li>Experience with irrigation systems or drainage solutions</li><li>Experience with hardscaping (patios, retaining walls, pavers)</li><li>Experience with planting design, gardens, or water features</li><li>Prior foreman or crew leadership experience</li></ul>This Role Is NOT for You If<ul><li>You need step-by-step direction for every task</li><li>You avoid responsibility for outcomes</li><li>You rush work instead of doing it correctly</li><li>You struggle to lead or communicate with a crew</li></ul>Compensation<ul><li>Competitive hourly pay (based on experience)</li><li>Weekly pay</li><li>Opportunity for increased responsibility and pay as skills expand</li></ul>Why Cut Rates Lawn CareWe&rsquo;ve built our reputation on doing the job right and standing behind our work.Our crews are expected to:<ul><li>Respect client property</li><li>Take care of equipment</li><li>Work hard and finish strong</li></ul>This foreman role is a key position in building the next level of our landscape division &mdash; including more advanced projects and higher-skill work.ApplyApply through Indeed with your work history.
