SUMMARY 
 
Works directly with students, either in one-on-one or small groups to provide academic tutorial assistance, helping students become independent learners that persevere and reach their academic goals. 
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 
 
<ul><li>Supports the department&rsquo;s goal of providing students with supplemental academic support by:
 
</li><li>Provides one-on-one and small group tutoring support
 
</li><li>Provides subject-specific content strategies, attuned to different learning styles and preferences, to help students understand key concepts learned in class
 
</li><li>Provides direct assistance in the use of equipment and learning materials needed for student&rsquo;s success
 
</li><li>Conducts &ldquo;class visits&rdquo; and assists with publicizing the College&rsquo;s tutoring services
 
</li><li>Assists with the maintenance of accurate records in accordance to stated deadlines
 
</li><li>Completes all necessary paperwork accurately and according to stated deadlines
 
</li><li>Assists with the development and maintenance of departmental instructional materials
