What You'll Be Doing</b></h4><ul><li><p>
Act as a technical expert for incidents, service requests, and changes across Microsoft and Open Source platforms</p></li><li><p>
Take end-to-end ownership of issues, ensuring timely resolution and SLA adherence</p></li><li><p>
Monitor systems, alerts, and service health dashboards to proactively prevent issues</p></li><li><p>
Perform key operational tasks, including patching, vulnerability management, and optimisation</p></li><li><p>
Support deployment of standard services during operational handover phases, in line with agreed processes.</p></li><li><p>
Contribute to problem management and root cause analysis, identifying trends and preventing recurrence</p></li><li><p>
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including automation and service enhancements</p></li><li><p>
Create and maintain clear technical and operational documentation</p></li><li><p>
Collaborate with colleagues and support the development of Level 1 engineers</p></li><li><p>
Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers, ensuring clarity and professionalism</p></li></ul><h4 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>

Essential Skills &amp; Experience</b></h5><ul><li><p>
Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft and/or Open Source technologies</p></li><li><p>
Strong experience in incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis</p></li><li><p>
Good understanding of ITIL service management principles</p></li><li><p>
Familiarity with networking, storage, backup, monitoring, and security concepts</p></li><li><p>
Ability to prioritise workloads and consistently meet SLAs and KPIs</p></li><li><p>
Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders</p></li></ul><h5 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>

Additional Information</b></h5><ul><li><p><b>
Reporting to: </b>Platform Services Manager</p></li><li><p><b>
Hours of Work: </b>37.5 hours per week. Plus, participate in out-of-hours and On-call rota, and overtime as required.</p></li><li><p><b>
Location: </b>Hybrid Sandwich, Kent or Newbury, Berkshire</p></li><li><p><b>
Salary: </b>&pound;36,000-&pound;38,000 per annum</p></li></ul><p><b>
