About UsD&amp;D Home Remodeling Contractors is a fast-growing design-build company specializing in kitchens, bathrooms, and full home renovations across the Bay Area. We handle projects from concept to completion, including design, engineering coordination, and city permits.We&rsquo;re looking for a strong, detail-oriented professional who can manage design, drafting, and permits in one role.ResponsibilitiesDesign &amp; Client Support<ul><li>Create basic layouts for kitchens, bathrooms, and interior remodels</li><li>Assist with material selections and design direction</li><li>Prepare simple 2D/3D renderings (SketchUp, Chief Architect, or similar)</li></ul>Drafting &amp; Plans<ul><li>Produce permit-ready drawings (floor plans, elevations, details)</li><li>Revise plans based on internal feedback and city corrections</li><li>Maintain organized plan sets and templates</li></ul>Permitting<ul><li>Submit plans to local jurisdictions (San Jose, Fremont, surrounding cities)</li><li>Track permit status and respond to plan check comments</li><li>Coordinate with city departments to move projects forward</li></ul>Coordination<ul><li>Work with structural engineers and Title 24 consultants</li><li>Communicate with project managers and sales team</li><li>Ensure plans align with field conditions and scope of work</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Experience in residential remodeling (kitchen/bath/structural preferred)</li><li>Strong knowledge of local permitting processes</li><li>Familiarity with California building codes and energy requirements</li><li>Proficiency in drafting/design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Chief Architect, or similar)</li><li>Ability to read and produce construction drawings</li><li>Strong communication and organization skills</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience submitting permits in Bay Area cities</li><li>Experience coordinating with engineers and consultants</li><li>Background in both design and drafting (hybrid skillset)</li></ul>How to ApplyPlease send to : office@ddhomeremodeling.com<ul><li>Resume</li><li>Portfolio (plans or design work)</li><li>Brief description of your experience with permits</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $28.13 - $40.00 per hourWork Location: In person
