Vitruvio is a tech-enabled financial operations provider for the insurance industry, launching out of the D. E. Shaw group. The company seeks a senior operations manager to play a critical leadership role, responsible for the day-to-day management of operational workflows, team performance, and service delivery quality. Reporting to the co-founder and head of operations, this role offers the chance to serve as the operational backbone of the team, bridging strategy and execution while maintaining the standards that define Vitruvio's client experience. The role is with Vitruvio, not the D. E. Shaw group. As a portfolio company of the D. E. Shaw group’s venture studio, DESCOvery, Vitruvio benefits from the firm’s entrepreneurial expertise and network. What you’ll do day-to-day
 
Oversee the operations and servicing team, ensuring tasks are assigned, prioritized, and completed in accordance with established workflows, timelines, and service standards.
 
Maintain visibility into all active client engagements and flag emerging issues to the head of operations in a timely manner.
 
Serve as the first layer of escalation support for team members encountering complex client situations, technical challenges, or interpersonal issues.
 
Provide direct day-to-day leadership and coaching to team members, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth, including regular check-ins with direct reports.
 
Support onboarding of new team members by ensuring training plans are followed and knowledge transfer is thorough.
 
Provide regular status updates, reports, and summaries on team performance, client status workload, and any risks or opportunities on the horizon.
 
Partner with the head of operations to identify inefficiencies in current workflows and develop actionable improvement plans, including evaluating tools and technologies to increase performance.
 
Document process changes and updates, ensuring the team is trained and aligned on new procedures and there are records of escalation patterns.
 
Who we’re looking for
 At least five years of experience in an operations, team lead, or supervisory role, ideally within a financial services, bookkeeping, or professional services environment.
 CPA or relevant proven accounting and/or bookkeeping experience, with a track record in the insurance industry or supporting insurance agency clients.
 Demonstrated ability to manage teams, balance competing priorities, and maintain high-quality output in a fast-paced, high-growth setting.
 Solid problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly with both internal team members and external clients.
 Experience with process documentation and standard operating procedure development.
 Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Monday.com, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365).
 The expected annual base salary for this position is $90,000 to $115,000. We offer comprehensive benefits coverage, unlimited PTO, and remote work.

Members of HCAP are curators of employee data and leverage it to help answer strategic and operational talent questions for leaders across the business. What you’ll do day-to-day
 
Create standard and tailored self-service reports in Workday on headcount, attrition, compensation, and diversity data.
 Develop reporting solutions that maintain, expand, and improve our Workday ecosystem and analytics portfolio.
 Collaborate with and satisfy report requests from colleagues and stakeholders in Human Capital, Business Operations, Information Technology, and international Software Development teams.
 Build ETL pipelines for Workday data using Prism Analytics and web service-enabled (RaaS) reports.
 Validate data flows between Workday and data warehouse systems, including developing continuous data quality and audit reporting frameworks.
 Train colleagues on the usage of Workday reporting tools.
 Partner with colleagues in Human Capital to oversee data governance and security in the Workday ecosystem.

Who we’re looking for
 A bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, or a related field of study is required.
 Seven years of experience with Workday Advanced Reporting; Workday BIRT Reports; Workday Raas Reports; Microsoft Excel; project management; and, stakeholder management and communication.
 Four years of experience with Workday Prism Analytics; Workday Docs and Worksheets; and Workday Integrations.
 As is customary for the employer, applicants who pass initial screening will be required to complete and pass a technical screening, involving a case study.
 The annual base salary for this position is $160,000 - $175,000. Our compensation and benefits package includes variable compensation in the form of a year-end bonus, guaranteed in the first year of hire, and benefits including medical and prescription drug coverage, 401(k) contribution matching, wellness reimbursement, family building benefits, and a charitable gift match program.
