 Key Responsibilities
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>

 Manage end-to-end purchasing processes for active, passive, and electromechanical components.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with the company&rsquo;s global supply chain and sustainability targets.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management.
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor supplier performance (cost, quality, delivery, sustainability) and drive continuous improvement activities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate with R&amp;D and engineering teams during product development phases to ensure component availability and cost efficiency.
 </li>
 <li>
 Benchmark market trends, risks, and alternative technologies to support strategic decisions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage cost-saving projects and ensure achievement of annual purchasing targets.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and environmental regulations in procurement activities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage cost analysis and component sourcing not only for running mass production projects but also for new business quotation processes, ensuring competitive and accurate cost structures for customer offers.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support project acquisition phase by preparing and validating component cost breakdowns; ensure seamless transition from quotation to mass production purchasing once business is awarded.
 </li>

 Qualifications
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
 </li>
 <li>
 5-7 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in electronic components or the automotive industry.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier relationship management skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP or similar) and advanced MS Office skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Good understanding of global electronic component market dynamics.
 </li>
 <li>
 Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural, cross-functional environment.
 </li>

 About the Role
 
 
 
 As a Project Buyer, you will be responsible for managing all purchasing activities during the development and industrialization phases of customer-nominated projects. You will act as the key interface between project teams, suppliers, and the strategic purchasing organization &mdash; ensuring cost targets, timing, and quality requirements are achieved. The role includes tracking investment and tooling activities, monitoring cost evolution throughout the product lifecycle, and supporting profitability analysis of assigned projects.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities

 Manage project purchasing activities from nomination to start of production (SOP), ensuring alignment with program milestones.

 Coordinate sourcing decisions in collaboration with strategic purchasing and project management teams.

 Follow up supplier tooling, investment, and pre-serial activities, ensuring timely readiness for project launches.

 3&ndash;5 years of experience in automotive purchasing, preferably in project or program purchasing.
 </li>

 Understanding of manufacturing and industrialization processes for mechanical or electronic components.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong analytical skills with experience in cost breakdown and project cost tracking.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience in working with cross-functional and international teams.
 </li>
 <li>
 Knowledge of PLM and project tracking tools such as Jira, Codebeamer, or similar systems.

 Responsibilities:
 
 
 <ul>

 Support the mechanical design and development activities of multimedia components (e.g., display units, control panels, infotainment housings) in close collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.
 </li>
 <li>
 Analyze and interpret client technical requirements in collaboration with the client interface team; define the mechanical roadmap accordingly.
 </li>
 <li>
 Follow the full mechanical lifecycle: concept development, 3D design, validation, prototyping, and release to manufacturing.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct / Support in CAE simulations including thermal, vibrational, and structural analysis using tools such as ANSYS or equivalent.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare CAD models created in NX Siemens or CATIA; ensure design feasibility, DFM/DFA, and compliance with automotive standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform design review preparations and documentations, DFMEA, and issue resolution meetings; track open points and ensure closure through structured follow-up.
 </li>
 <li>
 Interface with suppliers, production teams, and cross-functional departments to ensure manufacturability and robustness of mechanical designs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Contribute to standardization and continuous improvement of design practices, documentation, and toolsets.

 Qualifications:

 Basic knowledge of CAE tools (ANSYS or equivalent) for structural, thermal, and vibrational analysis.

 Familiarity with injection molding, die casting, thermal management, and integrated manufacturing processes.
 </li>
 <li>
 Deep understanding of GD&amp;T, tolerance stack-up, material selection, and plastic part design principles.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
 </li>

 Ability to coordinate and lead activities among internal and external stakeholders across multiple locations.
