Visit us online: www.daiwa.com.Our Purchasing department is growing and we are looking for a full-time purchasing supervisor to work within our team in our Foothill Ranch, CA office. This position will be responsible for developing a purchasing plan and managing our purchasing team towards our goals. This includes procuring and purchasing of products for the sales organization, supporting North and South America. This role also entails working with our Sales and R&amp;D teams on forecast and purchase planning and product set up. Working with our factories on forecast and purchases to ensure correct information and timing for production.Duties:&middot; Supervising the purchasing team&middot; Developing of a purchasing plan with Sales and R &amp; D&middot; Work with affiliated and outside factories on purchase forecast and plans&middot; Develop purchase orders for our factories for all Daiwa products (PO Creation)&middot; Ensure/follow through lead times and timely delivery of products.&middot; Maintain and manage inventory levels.&middot; Work with accounting and warehouse departments to resolve discrepancies.&middot; Verify purchase orders with available stock via comparison to the master lists.&middot; Provide reports on inventory vs sales&middot; Purchase order entry&middot; Commercial document entry&middot; Processing original bill of lading&middot; Creating and updating import files&middot; Updating import log&middot; Updating all product information (including pricing) for export customer&middot; Updating customer files for export processes and fulfillment orders&middot; Maintaining communication with each factory&middot; Reviewing pricing and quantities for each factory&middot; Communicate necessary product/shipping information to export customers via phone or email&middot; Communicate with freight forwarders via phone or email about timing of exports/importsRequirements:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree strongly preferred; a focus in information Engineering is ideal</li><li>Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement within global organization, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role</li><li>Proven supply chain management expertise in an international trading environment</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft NAV, GP or AX is highly advantageous</li><li>Excellent communication skills both verbal and written</li><li>Demonstrated leadership ability with a collaborative and proactive approach</li><li>Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail</li><li>Effective time management and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Preferred)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Supervisory: 2 years (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Foothill Ranch, CA 92610 (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
