As a Class A CDL Driver, you will play a vital role in our operations and contribute to our continued success.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Operate a Class A CDL vehicle to transport grain or other agricultural products and materials from various locations to designated destinations.</li><li>
Ensure safe and efficient loading, transportation, and unloading of products and materials.</li><li>
Follow all local, state, and federal regulations.</li><li>
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage.</li><li>
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, and promptly report any maintenance or repair needs to the Trucking Manager.</li><li>
Facilitates routine service on trucks, including checking oil, water, gasoline, and air.</li><li>
Responsible for cleaning the inside of trailers and opening and closing traps on the trailers.</li><li>
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and compliance.</li><li>
Build strong relationships with farmers, customers, and team members through excellent communication and professionalism.</li><li>
Provide exceptional customer service, always ensuring customer satisfaction.</li><li>
When not driving, this position will also assist in the warehouse and grain elevator.</li></ul>
Requirements:<ul><li>
Valid Class A CDL in good standing with no serious violations, tickets, or accidents in the last five years and no DWI/DUI in the last ten years.</li><li>
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Class A CDL Driver preferred</li><li>
Doubles/Triples Endorsement is required, a tanker endorsement is preferred, but not required.</li><li>
Knowledge of and ability to comply with all local, state, and federal regulations governing transportation.</li><li>
Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally.</li><li>
Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with farmers, customers, and team members.</li><li>
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring attention to detail and accuracy.</li><li>
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working at heights in various weather conditions.</li><li>
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills</li><li>
Commitment to safety and ability to follow safety guidelines and protocols.</li><li>
Willingness to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, during peak harvest seasons.</li></ul>
Physical Requirements<ul><li>
Able to physically lift heavy materials (up to 50 pounds) frequently throughout the work shift with or without assistance.</li><li>
Frequent walking, sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling, reaching overhead, repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.</li><li>
Standing/working on feet for extended periods and walking across uneven terrain, climbing up and down ladders and stairways</li><li>
Able to work in extreme weather conditions and elements, including but not limited to heat, cold, rain, mud, dust, etc.</li><li>
Frequent exposure to noise and dust</li><li>
Able to wear personal protective equipment and any other safety-related equipment.</li><li>
Able to work a minimum of 8 hours a day and overtime as required.</li></ul>
