For more information regarding Dalan, please visit www.dalanre.com.Position: PorterDalan is excited to hire a Porter responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of a Class A multifamily residential building in Brooklyn.The ideal candidate takes pride in the quality of their work, demonstrates a collaborative mindset, communicates proactively, and maintains strong organizational skills. This role reports directly to the Superintendent and General Manager (&ldquo;GM&rdquo;).Responsibilities&middot; On a regular basis, reviews and ensures that common areas of the building, including hallways, lobbies, stairwells, elevators, amenity spaces, sidewalks, and exterior grounds, are maintained in a clean, safe, and presentable condition.&middot; Responsible for the daily cleaning and upkeep of the property, ensuring a first-class appearance for residents and visitors.&middot; Collects, sorts, and properly disposes of trash and recycling in accordance with building procedures and municipal regulations.&middot; Places trash and recycling out for collection and returns containers to designated storage areas following pickup.&middot; Conducts routine inspections of common areas and reports maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or building deficiencies to Management.&middot; Assists with apartment turnovers, including cleaning units, removing debris, preparing apartments for painting, and ensuring units are move-in ready.&middot; Assists with building maintenance tasks, work orders, and resident requests as directed by the Superintendent or Management.&middot; Maintains the cleanliness and organization of storage rooms, compactor rooms, mechanical rooms, and other back-of-house areas.&middot; Assists with snow removal, salting, and ice mitigation during inclement weather conditions.&middot; Meets with the Superintendent and/or GM on a regular basis to discuss concerns, priorities, and building operations matters.&middot; Notifies Management of any potential or present violations, safety concerns, leaks, damages, or related matters observed throughout the property.&middot; Assists with resident move-ins and move-outs and helps ensure building rules and procedures are followed.&middot; Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies and advises Management when replenishment is required.&middot; Provides excellent customer service and communication to all residents, guests, contractors, and vendors to enhance customer satisfaction.&middot; Assists with special projects, preventative maintenance efforts, and building-wide initiatives as directed by Management.&middot; Ensures all assigned tasks and work orders are completed in a timely, professional, and efficient manner.&middot; Assists in maintaining compliance with DOB, FDNY, HPD, and other applicable regulations through proper housekeeping and reporting of observed issues.Qualifications&middot; Minimum 2 years of Porter, Custodian, Janitorial, or Building Maintenance experience, preferably in a residential real estate or property management environment.&middot; Customer service driven.&middot; Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.&middot; Innovative, with a desire for continual improvement and passion to be best in class.&middot; Ability to multitask and be well organized in a fast-paced environment.&middot; Excellent work ethic and reliability.&middot; Strong written and verbal communication skills.&middot; Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, carrying, cleaning, and standing for extended periods.&middot; Basic knowledge of building maintenance, cleaning equipment, and cleaning procedures.&middot; Good computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, work order systems, etc.) preferred.Compensation/Benefits&middot; Prevailing wage salary and benefits package, commensurate with experience.Dalan is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.Pay: From $22.33 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: In person
