 Working under moderate supervision, performs a variety of complex court tasks for Judges, prosecutors, attorneys, pro se litigants, managers, supervisors, and other County Departments which may include: preparation, processing and reconciling a variety of legal documents and/or records; researching and resolving problems/issues; and interact effectively with the public. May serve as the court administrator or liaison on behalf of the courts to ensure accurate and timely response and/or recording of cases into the court’s official records. Works within a well-defined framework of policies and procedures.
 RESPONSIBILITIES
 1. Receives, prepares, verifies, and processes documents including routine correspondence and legal documents; copies forms and other materials; may process and create new cases; may schedule hearings; and ensures case information is properly entered into the court’s official record in accordance with established procedures.
 
2. Researches and analyzes request to respond to inquiries, problems, issues, and exceptions to resolve discrepancies; and manage assigned caseload.
 
3. Serves as a liaison between prosecutors, attorneys, Judges, witnesses, victims, granting and law enforcement agencies, and other County departments. May serve as court administrator on behalf of the courts.
 
4. Maintains confidentiality of cases. Determines action to be taken to comply with statues and court orders. Processes time sensitive documents in accordance with all applicable County, State and Federal statutes
 
5. Scans, indexes, and performs quality assurance of documents in case management system.
 
6. Performs other duties as assigned.
 QUALIFICATIONS
 
Education, Experience and Training: 
Graduation from an accredited high school/GED program. Four (4) years job related experience or 60 college hours or a combination of the two.
 
Special Requirements/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 
Ability to type 35 wpm or 70 kspm. Ability to operate office equipment. Knowledge of computer applications and standard word processing software. Ability to enter data. Knowledge of criminal justice system. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, organize, plan, and process work, and establish and maintain effective, working relationships with employees and the general public. JOB DESCRIPTION
 Performs a variety of standardized support tasks related to receiving, reviewing and entering deposits/payments; processing withdrawals and a variety of documents; and responding to general inquiries. Works within a well-defined framework of policies and procedures, under moderate supervision.

JOB DESCRIPTION
 Reviews and audits cases to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations and that payments are not made to participants after eligibility has ended.
 RESPONSIBILITIES
 1. Audits of case files to ensure compliance with established rules and regulations and to ensure that disbursed amounts are provided to eligible participants in accordance with contractual and grant regulations.
 
2. Audits cash receipts against stated controls to ensure balance with ledger amounts.
 
3. Audits information submitted from landlords, such as addresses, case numbers, etc.
 
4. Resolves discrepancies and documents files for future reference.
 
5. Determines samples to be included in audits.

JOB DESCRIPTION
 Primarily responsible for the supervision of juveniles certified as adults and pending trial who will be housed in the Juvenile Detention Facilities pursuant to further orders of the court or in some instances a certified juvenile may be transferred to an Adult Detention facility by order of the court.
 RESPONSIBILITIES
 1. Provides direct day-to-day supervision to juveniles in a 24-hour detention/jail facility in manner that ensures the health, safety and welfare of each youth.
 
2. Provides intervention techniques to all juveniles to promote and increase personal awareness of responsibilities and alternatives.
 
3. Provides critical sound judgment and decisions during crisis or potentially dangerous situations, conducts crisis intervention, and notifies the supervisor of concerns.
 
4. Disciplines juveniles by enforcing the rules of the facility/jail, monitors behavior and other specific information and forwards to appropriate personnel. Accurately documents juveniles’ behavior and activities in observation logs and incident reports.
 
5.Enters data into AIS–adult system as well as coordinating hearings in the adult court, communicates with clerks of the courts, and possibly District Attorney and Public Defenders.
 
6. Serves as back-up to staff and assumes all duties as necessary, i.e., administering medications, transporting youths to appointments, processing intake assessments or discharges, and disciplining youths. Must be physically able to perform “handling with care techniques, including takedowns, chasing and restraining youth” as outlined in the Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD) requirement.
 
7. May transports juveniles to and from appointments.
 
8. Conducts routine inspections, rounds and drills, which include room checks and pat down searches of juveniles.
 
9. Performs other duties as assigned.
 QUALIFICATIONS
 
Education, Experience and Training: 
Education and experience equivalent to an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in Criminology, Corrections, Counseling, Law, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Cultural Anthropology, Business Management, Public Administration, or in a job related field of study. Two (2) years of work related experience.
 
Special Requirements/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 
Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments and the general public. Must be certified as a JSO within 180 days of hire date. Must have current Red Cross First Aid/CPR certification or obtain within 90 days of hire. Must maintain 40 hours of training yearly. Proficiency in using word processing, spreadsheet and database software. Must be certified as required by applicable standards of the facility/department assigned. Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license, with a good driving record. Must pass an extensive background investigation. Mandatory drug testing prior to employment and will be subject to random, unannounced drug and/or alcohol testing during employment. The employee will also be subject to shift changes based on the needs of the facility.
