Description<div>
</div><ul><li>
Create marketing content into culturally relevant and consumer friendly Spanish</li><li>
Translate and create marketing and social media grassroot resources for schools</li><li>
Write appealing and persuasive content that has an impact on the local audience</li><li>
Collaborate closely with Marketing team to develop branding for Spanish campaigns</li><li>
Collaborate closely with Digital team to create digital stories into culturally relevant Spanish</li><li>
Compiles database of terminology and information to be used in translations, including technical terms</li><li>
Perform general translation of letters, brochures, newsletters, and newspaper columns for various audiences and different levels of literary under tight deadlines</li><li>
Assist team as needed with the delivery of recorded messages aimed at limited or non-English speaking parents and community, and interpret at Board of Education meetings, as needed</li><li>
Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned</li></ul><div>

Qualifications<div>
</div><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree from an accredited university in Humanities /Language Studies, Education, Spanish, Journalism, or related field preferred</li><li>
3 to 5 years of experience as a writer/editor, translator, or bilingual teacher. Fluent in English/Spanish oral and written</li><li>
Bilingual in English/Spanish</li><li>
Exceptional copy editing and proofreading skills in both languages</li><li>
Organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are required to achieve the goals of this position. Knowledge of district&rsquo;s operations, policies, goals and objectives is preferred</li><li>
Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities and meet deadlines</li><li>
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Communications and Marketing campaigns</li><li>
Ability to deliver interpretations from English to Spanish</li><li>
Self-starter and able to work against deadlines with minimum supervision</li><li>
Ability to work remotely, if needed</li><li>
Knowledge of MS Office applications</li><li>
Prior experience translating/interpreting in a school district environment, a plus</li></ul><div>
