Responsibilities:
<div>
The ICU Charge Nurse is responsible and accountable to the Department Director for the quality of nursing staff and the delivery of patient care during his/her shift and assists the Director in the daily operation of the respective unit(s)/department. He/she provides direct communication with the Director and/or House Supervisor of unanticipated patient care events and/or risk management activities within patient care unit(s); Utilizes nursing personnel effectively, assisting with required scheduling, staffing and assignments; Provides direction, supervision and evaluation of staff and/or staff education as necessary; Assists with performance evaluations, progressive discipline of staff and other related HR activities as needed; Assesses supplies and equipment availability, ensures their proper use and functionality and assists in the daily maintenance of par levels; Collaborates with other department managers/supervisors to ensure smooth coordination of services to patients; enhanced patient flow within the facility and efficient admission/discharge/transfer processes; Assesses patient care delivery and quality of care/documentation on a consistent basis; directs staff members to make immediate changes in the plan of care, as appropriate to ensure patient safety and adherence to regulatory guidelines, hospital policies, procedures, protocols and/or clinical pathways and notifies Department Director, House Supervisor and/or Medical Staff as appropriate utilizing the chain of command. Interviews patients/families on admission and during rounds to enhance positive patient experiences, provide comprehensive orientation to the patient care unit and increase patient/family awareness on how to access services and/or the charge nurse, if necessary. The Charge Nurse may perform direct patient care within scope of practice and clinical competency to ensure patient safety and patient/nurse ratios; he/she shall be temporarily relieved of Charge Nurse duties during such times by Director/designee and shall document details of same on patient care assignment record.</div>
Qualifications:

Education and Work Experience</div><ul><li>
Current and valid state RN License.</li><li>
Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.</li><li>
Current ACLS (AHA) 30 days upon hire and maintain current.</li><li>
Previous supervisory experience, one to two years, in acute care hospital, ICU setting, preferred.</li><li>
Minimum of one year staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting; Critical Care setting preferred.</li><li>
CCRN (AACN) within 2 years of hire, preferred.</li><li>
Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN), preferred.</li><li>
Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current.</li></ul><br>

<b>Responsibilities:</b><br>
The Performance Improvement Director develops, manages and integrates a comprehensive Performance Improvement (PI) Program for the Dallas facilities to achieve unprecedented results in quality, efficiency, safety, satisfaction and value with transparency.
<br><br>
The Managerial oversight responsibility of the Performance Improvement Program is to develop and share best practices for improving performance in quality, safety, perception of care, value and efficiency; to develop/ maintain scorecards for all Service Lines with defining expected outcomes & benchmarks based on Quality, Safety, Satisfaction and Value; to complete Clinical Assessment, Diagnosis and Treatment for the Service Lines. Responsible for coordinating and managing market wide performance improvement activities including continued survey readiness. Responsible for oversight of ongoing publicly reported quality initiatives for the Dallas facilities undertaken by the organization, like Core Measures, Patient Satisfaction, etc. Work collaboratively with the Administration and Leadership teams. Ensures execution and communication of Performance Improvement and Patient Safety activities occurs from the department level to Board of Trustees for both Dallas hospitals.

The scope of activities in managing the Dallas hospitals PI Programs, includes creating collaborative customer relationships; planning appropriate group processes; creating & sustaining a participatory environment; guiding the group to appropriate & useful outcomes; building and maintaining professional knowledge; employing evidence-based practice; integrating best research with expertise & patient values for optimal care; working in interdisciplinary teams; application of performance improvement methodologies to minimize waste, decrease errors, increase efficiency and ultimately improve care and appropriate utilization of informatics to communicate, manage knowledge with clinical expertise and patient values for optimal care.

Team facilitation and experience with hospitals’ accreditation standards and survey process. Maintains knowledge of local regulatory standards & OSHA regulations.
<br><br>
<b>Qualifications:</b><br>
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
<br><br>
1. Bachelors Degree required, preferably in a healthcare related field.
<br>2. Masters Degree preferred.
<br>3. State RN licensure or a License in healthcare field preferred.
<br>4. 4 – 5 years healthcare experience. 1-4 years quality improvement experience
<br>5. Good computer skills.
<br>6. Experience in reviewing charts for quality care issues. Detail oriented organizational skills. Must be able to handle multiple cases, directions and follow-through.
<br><br>
7. Good communication skills both verbally and written. Experience with Medical Staff communication.
<br>8. Coordination of internal departments and external entities to ensure compliance with company policies, and state/federal regulatory and accreditation standards.
<br>9. Certified professional in healthcare quality preferred.

Under the Hospital CFO, this position completes and analyzes financial and statistical reporting and in support of senior management’s goals and objectives. This position ensures timely and accurate financial information, financial reporting, and financial projection, and related activities.

<b>Qualifications:</b><br>

1. Bachelor degree in Business Administration with emphasis on Accounting or Finance.
<br>2. Master’s Degree in Business or Finance related field preferred.
<br>3. Six to ten (6-10) years accounting/finance experience required. Hospital/healthcare accounting/finance experience highly preferred.
<br>4. Strong analytical skills and ability to prepare financial statements and financial projections.
<br>5. Excellent communication skills
<br>6. Proficient in business software applications, i.e., EPIC, Lawson, Microsoft Excel and Word.
<br>7. Working knowledge of windows based personal computers.
<br>8. Public accounting experience, and strong knowledge of GAAP – Highly Preferred
<br>9. Certified Public Accountant – Preferred
