Dallas Neurosurgical &amp; Spine is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join established practice. Neurosurgical and/ or Orthopedic experience preferred.The Dallas Neurosurgical &amp; Spine PA/NP is responsible for assisting their physician and medicalstaff during clinics and surgical procedures. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Dallas Neurosurgical &amp; Spine. This position must comply with all HIPAA regulations at all times.Essential Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment.</li><li>Assist physician during surgical procedures, both scheduled and on-call.</li><li>Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.</li><li>Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.</li><li>Works with supervising physician to coordinate the patient care activities as required.</li><li>Follows established policies, procedures, and objectives. Continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.</li><li>Attends medical staff meetings and general staff meetings, when applicable.</li><li>Ensure knowledge of proper billing codes</li><li>Maintains a professional relationship with patients and staff.</li><li>Maintain up to date education and CME courses as required by law</li><li>Comply with all patient privacy and HIPAA rules</li><li>Performs other related and/or necessary tasks to achieve clinic goals and objectives.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Must be able to work flexible hours, multitask and be a team player</li><li>Must have a positive attitude</li><li>It is preferred, but not required, to have 2-5 years of experience or more as a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner.
