Position Summary
The Sales Manager is a key member of the DanceOne team, responsible for building meaningful relationships, driving growth, and expanding participation across all DanceOne programs and events. This role blends strategic sales expertise with a genuine passion for dance and community engagement. The ideal candidate thrives on connection, creativity, and purpose &mdash; turning opportunities into lasting partnerships that uplift and inspire.
Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities<ul><li>
Develop and execute sales strategies that align with DanceOne&rsquo;s goals for growth and brand impact.</li><li>
Build, manage, and nurture relationships with studio owners, educators, and partners to expand participation.</li><li>
Identify and develop new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets within the dance and performing arts industries.</li><li>
Represent DanceOne at conventions, events, and trade shows &mdash; promoting programs and engaging directly with the community.</li><li>
Collaborate with marketing, operations, and events teams to ensure a consistent, high-quality experience for clients and participants.</li><li>
Maintain and track a healthy sales pipeline, report on performance metrics, and forecast future growth opportunities.</li><li>
Provide valuable field insights to inform programming, messaging, and partnership initiatives.</li><li>
Support client retention and loyalty through personalized communication and follow-up.</li><li>
Embody and promote DanceOne&rsquo;s core values &mdash; integrity, passion, creativity, and community &mdash; in every interaction.</li></ul>
Skills &amp; Competencies<ul><li>
Proven success in sales, business development, or account management, preferably within the performing arts, events, education industries or medical sales.</li><li>
Strong relationship-building and interpersonal communication skills.</li><li>
Strategic thinker with excellent organizational and analytical abilities.</li><li>
Confident and engaging public speaker, comfortable representing the brand at live events.</li><li>
Team player with a collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally.</li><li>
Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment.</li><li>
Proficiency with CRM systems, sales tracking, and Google or Microsoft Office Suite tools.</li><li>
Deep appreciation for dance, the arts, and community development.</li></ul>
Qualifications &amp; Experience<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).</li><li>
3&ndash;5 years of experience in sales, partnership development, or account management.</li><li>
Experience in the dance, performing arts, or event industry strongly preferred.</li><li>
Travel required to conventions, events, and studio visits. (Up to 75% travel)</li><li>
Ability to work occasional weekends and flexible hours during event seasons.</li></ul>
