About the Role
Dandy is hiring a Software Engineer II, with experience in 3D algorithms, 3D graphics or computational geometry. The CAD team owns and builds advanced 3D algorithms that are manufacturing process-aware. In this role, you&rsquo;ll be developing workflows that give Dandy a competitive edge in quality, throughput, and customer delight. In this role you will support Dandy&rsquo;s ongoing mission to digitize and disrupt the dental lab industry, driving the adoption of digital design and automation tools to improve patient outcomes.
What You'll Do<ul><li>
Work cross-functionally to deliver practical solutions to real-world 3D problems across our engineering org</li><li>
Research, build, implement, and deploy algorithms that generate geometry for dental restorations.</li><li>
Build CAD tools that interface with robots, 3D printers, or subtractive manufacturing machines.</li><li>
Interface with deep learning models to integrate AI into the tools/experiences you are developing.</li><li>
Continuously deliver high performance solutions that are reliable, well-tested, and delight our stakeholders.</li></ul>
What We're Looking For<ul><li>
3+ years of experience in a software engineering role</li><li>
Fluency with fundamental 3D concepts, algorithms, and mesh processing.</li><li>
Proficiency with one or more geometry processing or visualization libraries.</li><li>
Experience implementing algorithms from research papers or academia.</li><li>
Demonstrated expertise building CAD/CAM or geometry inspection systems.</li><li>
A strong team player with a high level of initiative.</li><li>
An effective communicator around risks and trade-offs.</li></ul>

About the Role</h3>
We are seeking an experienced and people-driven Senior Manager to lead operations for our Dental Design Center (DDC) in Egypt. In this role, you&rsquo;ll oversee a team of 500+ skilled CAD/CAM Designers responsible for producing high-quality dental restorations that meet our global standards of excellence.
You&rsquo;ll own the day-to-day operations of the Egypt site &mdash; managing performance, quality, staffing, and engagement &mdash; while partnering closely with global leaders across Operations, Product, Training, HR, and Engineering. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in dynamic, high-growth environments and is passionate about developing people, improving processes, and driving operational excellence.<h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Key Responsibilities</h3>
Operational Leadership<ul><li>
Oversee all daily operations for the Egypt Dental Design Center, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery of dental restoration designs.</li><li>
Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and workload allocation to meet productivity and customer delivery goals.</li><li>
Track and manage site-level KPIs related to quality, output, and efficiency; identify and resolve performance gaps proactively.</li><li>
Partner with global operations and workforce planning to align resources with business demand.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and local labor regulations.</li><li>
Define and own the future workforce strategy in Egypt</li></ul>
Team Leadership &amp; Development<ul><li>
Lead, coach, and mentor a team of managers, team leads, and CAD/CAM designers.</li><li>
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional growth.</li><li>
Conduct regular performance reviews, identify top talent, and develop succession plans.</li></ul>
Partner with HR and Training teams to support onboarding, upskilling, and continuous learning initiatives.
Quality &amp; Process Improvement<ul><li>
Implement standardized workflows, QA programs, and design review processes to ensure consistency across output.</li><li>
Collaborate with Product and Engineering to improve tools, systems, and automation supporting design accuracy and efficiency.</li><li>
Identify process bottlenecks and lead initiatives that improve cycle times, reduce rework, and elevate quality.</li><li>
Champion Lean and continuous improvement principles across the design center.</li></ul>
Cross-Functional Collaboration<ul><li>
Serve as the primary liaison between the Egypt DDC and global Operations, HR, and Product teams.</li><li>
Support the rollout of global initiatives, tools, and new product workflows at the site level.</li><li>
Provide feedback and insights from the Egypt team to inform global process and workforce strategies.</li><li>
Partner with global leadership on business continuity planning and resource scalability.</li></ul>
Culture &amp; Engagement<ul><li>
Build and sustain a positive, inclusive culture that supports engagement, innovation, and excellence.</li><li>

Key Qualifications</h3><ul><li>
8+ years of experience in operations or workforce management, ideally within high-volume, service, or tech-enabled environments.</li><li>
Demonstrated success leading large teams (100+ employees) in a production or design setting.</li><li>
Strong operational background with expertise in performance management, process optimization, and quality control.</li><li>
Skilled people leader with experience developing managers and building high-performing teams.</li><li>
Data-driven and comfortable using metrics and analytics to inform decisions.</li><li>
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and cross-culturally.</li><li>
Fluency in English required; Arabic proficiency is a plus.</li><li>
Based in Egypt with the ability to work onsite daily.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
