EMPLOYEE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESClinical● Makes autonomous decisions related to the plans of care for children.● Provides total individualized patient care as assigned according to the core standards ofpatient care and established policies and evidence-based practices.● Holds a caseload and provides a speech and language therapy service to children with arange of communication, speech and language difficulties.● Assumes delegated accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluatingtherapy needs as well as discharge planning for each patient, assessing for current andpotential problems.● Administers standardized and age-appropriate speech and language tests and uses non-standardized assessment procedures when indicated.● Interprets results and develops recommendations in collaboration with theinterprofessional team, when necessary.Communication● Is able to motivate and persuade patients through effective communication skills.● Is able to communicate information when there are maybe barriers to communicationand understanding.● Regularly reports to the Nursery/ school supervisor.● Liaises with members of the interdisciplinary teams with regard to patient care to ensurehigh quality, holistic, and safe family-centered care.● Liaises with managers, administrative and support staff as necessary.● Attends and contributes to meetings and case conferences as appropriate.Essential skills● Flexibility in working in different settings (covering school and nurseries during screeningstage) and later on referring selected clients to our clinic or work on home visits when it&rsquo;srequested by parents or VIP clients.● High work ethics and morale.● Ability to see the bigger picture, plan ahead and act proactively.● Agile and open to changes and unplanned circumstances.● Excellent oral and written communication in English, and Arabic language.RequirementsEducation &amp; Licenses● Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Therapy● Have a valid QCHP License● Completed Data Flow and provide a positive reportExperience● 4+ years of work experience in a clinical environment in a similar role is requiredinclusive of 2+ years of clinical experience in a pediatric role.Job Type: Full-timeEducation:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Required)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Speech Therapy: 3 years (Preferred)</li></ul>Language:<ul><li>Arabic (Preferred)</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>QCHP (Preferred)</li></ul>
