The Danville-Center Township Public Library is looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer focused General Library Clerk to join our team!In this role, you&rsquo;ll be the face of the library where you will be greeting patrons, assisting with materials, answering questions, and helping create a positive experience for visitors of all ages. You&rsquo;ll also support daily operations through a variety of clerical and circulation tasks.What your day will look like:<ul><li>Face-to-face interacting with patrons and providing people-first customer service</li><li>Assist patrons with checking in/out materials and using library resources</li><li>Handle cash transactions accurately</li><li>You may have to help patrons with computers, printing, copying, and faxing</li><li>Answer questions and help resolve issues</li><li>Support multiple library departments as needed</li><li>Be comfortable with readers-advisory</li></ul>You might me a great fit if:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>Have a love for books, learning, and a little bit of chaos</li><li>Are creative, flexible, and full of ideas</li><li>Are comfortable working on your feet or at a desk for extended periods of time, lifting books, and pushing carts</li><li>Are comfortable working in a lively, noisy environment at times</li><li>Can connect with people of all ages and backgrounds</li><li>Enjoy working both independently and as part of a team</li></ul>Hours:<ul><li>Part-time, 20 hour a week</li><li>Evening and weekend work as required</li></ul>Pay:<ul><li>$13.50/hr</li></ul>Be part of a team that values community, connection, and excellent service, while making a real difference every day.Apply on our website at or email Brittany Hujar at .Pay: $13.50 per hourEducation:<ul><li>High school or equivalent (Required)</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>Driver's License (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Danville, IN 46122 (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
