The Regional Sales Director is an individual contributor role. The role&rsquo;s primary responsibility is to leverage Datavail&rsquo;s strong competencies and credibility in the areas of Database Administration, Data Analytics, and Application Development and Maintenance &ndash; including our Cloud capabilities across each area &ndash; to generate new Sales. This role is focused on primarily generating new bookings &ndash; across both existing clients and new logo prospects. We are looking for someone who can proactively network within their region across existing clients, target prospects, and other market influencers (e.g. our Alliance Partners&rsquo; regional sales executives) within a defined geographic territory. This role is a quota-based role with commissions and will be responsible for driving new logo opportunities in Mid-market and Enterprise to closure and will partner with Datavail Solution Architects and SMEs to accomplish sales targets.

Job Description:
The Regional Sales Director is an individual contributor role. The role&rsquo;s primary responsibility is to leverage Datavail&rsquo;s strong competencies and credibility in the areas of Database Administration, Data Analytics, and Application Development and Maintenance &ndash; including our Cloud capabilities across each area &ndash; to generate new Sales. This role is focused on primarily generating new bookings &ndash; across both existing clients and new logo prospects. We are looking for someone who can proactively network within their region across existing clients, target prospects, and other market influencers (e.g. our Alliance Partners) within a defined geographic territory.
A successful candidate is a self-starting prospector and closer who can work with a large number of prospects and deals simultaneously, within a short period of time. To be considered, candidates must have 5+ years of experience in solution-selling IT Services. Specific depth of experience in one or more of our core offerings (DB Administration, Analytics, App Dev, ERP &amp; Cloud Services) is a big advantage.
Candidates should possess a high level of professionalism, persistence, focus, and ability to execute while selling or serving our customers. We look for business athletes who are aggressive team players - hungry, nimble and intelligent - with the ability and willingness to close a mix of transactional deals and complex strategic opportunities. A track record of achieving and exceeding sales quotas is a must. Candidates must be comfortable working in a matrix-based organization.
Key Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Network, build relationships and establish Datavail&rsquo;s credibility with clients, prospects and Alliance Partners
</li><li>Follow a systematic approach to the sales cycle
</li><li>Work well across internal teams: business development, sales, solution architects, subject matter experts, project management and service delivery management
</li><li>Drive revenue within a specified region, including some named accounts
</li><li>Generate business opportunities through professional networking
</li><li>Own the sales cycle from lead generation to closure
</li><li>Maintain account and opportunity forecasting within our internal forecasting system
</li><li>Meet and exceed all quarterly and annual goals and quotas
</li><li>Maintain account and opportunity status in a timely manner in SalesForce.com
</li><li>Ensure high customer satisfaction on all sales and presales engagements
</li><li>Partner with Datavail delivery to ensure high customer satisfaction on contracted engagements and properly escalate issues internally at Datavail
</li></ul>Qualifications:
<ul><li>10+ years of Sales experience with at least 5 years&rsquo; experience in solution-selling IT services (managed services and professional services.)
</li><li>Interpersonal skills, strong work ethic &amp; resilience are key success factors
</li><li>Be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast pace, rapid change environment
</li><li>A proven sales hunter and closer

Job Summary:
<ul><li>Scope out, design and oversee the architecture of AI and machine learning solutions across products and platforms for our clients
</li><li>Collaborate with team members to translate business requirements into AI-enabled solutions at either a Roadmap, Proof of Value, Full Implementation or Managed Service support capability and service offering.
</li><li>Aid in the selection of appropriate tools, frameworks, and technologies for AI development in the Google (GCP) cloud using related technologies.
</li><li>Create reusable and scalable AI models and pipelines for our clients thereby ensuring performance, reliability, and security.
</li><li>Develop and enforce best practices for model governance, MLOps, and responsible AI.
</li><li>Evaluate and integrate third-party AI services and APIs when needed.
</li><li>Drive innovation by staying current with AI trends and emerging technologies (e.g., LLMs, edge AI).
</li><li>Required Qualifications:
</li><li>Bachelor's or Master&rsquo;s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or related field.
</li><li>7+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in AI/ML architecture roles.
</li><li>Strong proficiency in machine learning, deep learning, data engineering, and distributed systems.
</li><li>Experience with Google cloud-based AI platforms such as Google Vertex AI.
</li><li>Proficiency in Python and experience with ML libraries.
</li><li>Solid understanding of AI data governance, model explainability, and ethical AI principles.
</li><li>Excellent communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
</li><li>Demonstrated experience delivering scalable AI projects that drive business value.
</li><li>Preferred Skills:
</li><li>Experience deploying generative AI models and LLMs leveraging RAG models (e.g., GPT, Google, Claude, open-source models).
</li><li>Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD for ML.
</li><li>Knowledge of NLP, computer vision, or reinforcement learning.
</li><li>Hands-on development and support of AI solutions.
