As a junior member of the Implementation team, you will collaborate with other highly skilled technical staff, across DataBank, who are responsible for the engineering of the cloud compute, disaster recovery, storage, backup, OS and application layers of DataBanks overall product stack and internal systems. This positions primary responsibilities will be to assist in basic tasks quickly and efficiently to lighten the workload of the more senior members of the team. We expect you to have the basic tools and aptitude but we will teach you what you dont know. Attitude and a hunger to learn are the best attributes for this position. Were looking to pull the go to person in a smaller support team and bring them up to our level. 
This role will require daily interactions with technical and non-technical customers and decision makers via phone, video conferencing, email, chat and occasional in-person meetings. Effective written, verbal and expressive communications are a vital component to this positions success. Effective customer service skills, a personable demeanor, follow through, and effective organizational, problem solving and time management skills are imperatives. 
Primary responsibilities and duties include:
Customer On-boarding using our existing Customer Portal to walk customers through getting connected to their new servers, and developing a list of tasks to get them up and running
Assist in basic tasks such as: Point to point tunnel configuration, new user DUO setup, Cloudflare staging, data and database migrations, ACL updates, custom scripting on repeatable tasks
Stage and Migrate systems Assist customers in getting their web apps and databases moved over to your newly staged environment for testing and troubleshooting. Help them plan a successful cutover to ensure a smooth and painless transition between the old and new environment
Work with the Project Management team on larger implementations and project manage smaller projects directly.
Create well written and concise documentation for all deployed platforms
Meet project deadlines and manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous projects while adhering to a time allocation model.
Effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
Make decisions and judgments based on standard procedures. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, manage workload and adapt to changing business conditions
Proactive, upbeat and collaborative communication style, with the ability to be direct, tactful, and transparent.
Demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving skills

Organizational Considerations:
Candidates must have the ability to prioritize projects and/or tasks. This position requires regular scheduled and occasional unscheduled work to be performed after business hours. In the case of outages / critical incidents, the candidate must be able to work alone or within a team environment until the problem is resolved. 
Certifications, Education and Experience:
2-4 years of Experience in multiple web technologies:
Web Servers (IIS, Apache, NGINX)
Database Servers (MSSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
Web Based Programming Languages (.NET, PHP, ColdFusion, Javascript)
RDS Farms, exchange servers, Terminal Services
Virtualization (VMWare)
Firewalls/VPN (Cisco)
Basic knowledge of protocols and services including: TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, POP3, FTP, telnet, ping, SSH, and HTTP/HTTPS
Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science a plus but not required
Equivalent work experience can be substituted for college education

DataBank Infrastructure Engineering is a team responsible for delivering mission critical infrastructure for DataBanks collocate data center business. Portfolio consists of small leased/owned facilities to large campuses. 
DataBank is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with a strong mechanical engineering background in small to large scale data center facility design, construction, and operations. This candidate will be responsible for ensuring mission critical facility designs meet DataBanks Basis of Design and technical standards. The position requires travel to sites, and vendor interaction beginning with the design process, construction, and commissioning of the installed systems. This position is part of an engineering team that are subject matter experts and provide engineering support for the entire organization. 
Roles &amp; Responsibilities<ul><li>
Provide engineering support for internal Colo Engineering, Construction, Facilities, Operations, Sustainability, and Sales teams.</li><li>
Review equipment submittals &amp; RFIs for construction and procurement.</li><li>
Assist with development of complex Method of Procedures (MOPs) and Sequence of Operations (SOOs) for facility systems.</li><li>
Perform site or data hall capacity analysis and help complete customer audit and sales RFP documentation.</li><li>
Support startup, commissioning, and integrated systems testing. Review commissioning scripts for completeness and mitigate impacts to critical infrastructure or operations as required.</li><li>
Review energy conservation and efficiency improvement initiatives for new and existing facilities.</li><li>
Create conceptual designs and provide design specifications per latest Basis of Design standards and direct 3rd party consulting engineering firms to provide designs that comply with DataBank standards.</li><li>
Review interior and exterior CFDs and provide direction to 3rd party consulting engineering firms to ensure mechanical systems operate at optimal efficiency.</li><li>
Review and approve MOPs per DataBank Change Control process and policy to minimize risk to data center operations and ensure personnel safety.</li><li>
Work with Procurement team to specify and select equipment for DataBank stocking program or customers that meet DataBank specifications and standards.</li><li>
Represent DataBank in project meetings as needed.</li></ul> 
Qualifications<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.</li><li>
Minimum five years of professional experience in various aspects of data center design, maintenance, and operations with emphasis on design.</li><li>
Basic understanding of various power distribution topology designs: Distributed redundant, Block redundant, Catcher/reserve, etc.</li><li>
Strong design, operational, and commissioning knowledge of data center facility mechanical systems including air and centrifugal chilled water systems, small to large HVAC systems (air cooled, water cooled, evaporative), humidity control systems, hot/cold aisle containment, raised tile floor, overhead air distribution and air and water balance principles.</li><li>
Working knowledge of applicable building codes and regulations (International Mechanical Code, ASHRAE, etc).</li><li>
Experience with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis.</li><li>
Working knowledge of all data center critical systems, engineering functions, and concepts:</li><li>
Practical and theoretical aspects of complex electrical and mechanical designs</li><li>
Calculations (kVA, kW, tons (cooling), CFM, GPM, PUE, etc.)</li><li>
Air containment configurations (Hot/Cold Aisle Design)</li><li>
Capacity Auditing and Planning</li><li>
Over subscription theory and Failover analysis</li><li>
Familiarity with typical datacenter equipment (Chillers, Pumps, CRAC/CRAH, DX, Humidification, UPS, Generators, Switchgear, DC Plant, PDU, STS, Batteries, VFD)</li><li>
Experience with AutoCAD, BlueBeam Revu, and MS Office Suite</li><li>
Ability to travel to various sites upon hire to become familiar with key sites across the United States.</li><li>
Willing and able to work off hours - outages, maintenances, etc</li><li>
Strong technical writing, documentation, and communication skills with attention to detail.</li><li>
Leadership competencies and willingness to work cross-functionally to maximize revenue and provide an exceptional business partner and customer experience.</li><li>
Must be able to self-manage, prioritize, and successfully execute multiple concurrent projects as part of a team distributed across multiple time zones in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul>
