Job Role: Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Abilene, TX (Direct Hire)Summary:<ul><li>The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring all equipment and machinery is in good working condition.</li><li>Also responsible for making repairs and performing preventative maintenance while following all company policies &amp; processes.</li></ul>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Perform preventative maintenance on the machinery and building, as needed</li><li>Must know and understand the emergency procedures in the event of equipment failure</li><li>Repair equipment as needed due to breakdowns</li><li>Responsible for overseeing maintenance of the facility and all equipment.</li><li>Must work closely with production to ensure that all product is produced in a timely manner with the highest food safety and quality standards</li><li>Proficient in electrical and mechanical work and troubleshooting</li><li>Ability to troubleshoot all motor controls such as HMI's and PLC's.</li><li>Ability to diagnose automation components such as HMI, PLCs, I/O, VFDs</li><li>Be able to identify communication systems on automation devices.</li><li>Ability to do basic programming of PLC's</li><li>Ability to design and implement ideas and innovations to successful projects to increase equipment efficacy, safety, and reliability</li><li>Sanitary welding a plus but not a requirement</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>High School Diploma or (GED) is required.</li><li>Technical or vocational degree in related fields</li><li>Bakery experience is strongly preferred.</li><li>3-5 years of related industrial maintenance experience is required.</li></ul>Skills:<ul><li>PLC Skills - ability to troubleshoot and diagnosis low voltage systems using prints and a meter to diagnose issues; ability to connect to PLC via laptop and software; ability to write and read ladder logic to assist in troubleshooting</li><li>Ability to read and understand machine drawings.</li><li>Must be proficient using computer applications, spreadsheets, e-mail, SAP and/or other related systems.</li><li>Must be proficient in: welding, cutting, fabrication, mechanical troubleshooting.</li><li>Basic electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic skills are also required.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Relocation assistance</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Programmable logic controllers: 1 year (Required)</li><li>Food industry: 1 year (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
