We roast all our coffee right here in Narragansett, Rhode Island and take pride in doing things the right way. Our roastery is where the magic happens, and we&rsquo;re looking for someone who can help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.About the Role: We&rsquo;re hiring a Maintenance &amp; Equipment Technician to help maintain and repair equipment at our roastery and caf&eacute;s. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong mechanical skills who enjoys fixing, troubleshooting, and maintaining machines.This job could be a great fit if you&rsquo;ve ever worked as an automotive mechanic, machine mechanic, facilities maintenance technician, repair tech, or general handyman.This is a part-time position with very flexible hours - we&rsquo;re happy to work around your schedule. Whether you prefer early mornings, mid-days, or a few hours spread across the week, we can accommodate it. Ideally, this role will be under 20 hours per week.You&rsquo;ll be our go-to person for equipment maintenance and repair, keeping things in top working condition and helping prevent downtime.What You&rsquo;ll Do:<ul><li>Perform preventative maintenance on roasting, brewing, grinding, and packaging equipment</li><li>Troubleshoot and repair coffee machines, grinders, and brewing equipment</li><li>Handle general building maintenance, including light plumbing, electrical work, and minor repairs</li><li>Maintain tools, parts, and maintenance supplies</li><li>Visit both caf&eacute; locations (Providence &amp; Charlestown) to handle minor equipment repairs and maintenance</li><li>Work closely with our roasting and caf&eacute; teams to identify potential issues early</li></ul>Who We&rsquo;re Looking For:<ul><li>Hands-on and mechanically inclined - you enjoy fixing things and solving problems</li><li>Experience as a mechanic, machine technician, repair tech, maintenance worker, or handyman</li><li>Comfortable with basic plumbing and electrical repairs</li><li>Dependable, detail-oriented, and organized</li><li>Able to work independently and communicate clearly with the team</li><li>Someone who enjoys flexible, part-time work that&rsquo;s active, practical, and keeps you thinking</li></ul>Bonus Points If You:<ul><li>Have experience maintaining or repairing food-service equipment or coffee machinery</li><li>Are recently retired or semi-retired and looking for part-time work that&rsquo;s rewarding and hands-on</li><li>Have a background in industrial maintenance or facilities management</li></ul>Hours &amp; Pay:<ul><li>Flexible part-time schedule &mdash; we can accommodate many different availability needs</li><li>Under 20 hours per week</li><li>Competitive hourly pay, based on experience</li><li>Local travel to our Providence and Charlestown caf&eacute;s as needed</li></ul>Why You&rsquo;ll Love Working Here: At Dave&rsquo;s Coffee, you&rsquo;ll be part of a small, close-knit team that values craftsmanship and quality.
