 Rail Planning and Strategy
 
 Consultant in Qatar.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Responsibilities:
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Lead the creation and optimization of strategic frameworks, masterplans, and roadmaps for logistics and transportation projects.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide expert analysis and strategic recommendations for transportation and logistics planning, design, and operational readiness for several projects on a country-wide level.
 </li>
 <li>
 Advise on long-term supply chain, freight, and passenger logistics planning, ensuring robust and future-oriented solutions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support clients and project stakeholders with market analysis, scenario planning, and strategic decision-making for transportation and logistics topics.
 </li>
 <li>
 Engage directly with clients and local authorities to ensure alignment and buy-in for developed strategies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams such as engineering, operations, and PMO, ensuring integrated and effective delivery; and present analysis, progress, and recommendations in regular meetings.
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify risks and opportunities in logistics planning and lead mitigation and adaptation strategies in support of project objectives.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure all strategies are compliant with regional regulations and global standards.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Qualifications:
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Master&rsquo;s degree in Transportation Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline (advanced degree, e.g. PhD, strongly preferred).
 </li>
 <li>
 At least 16 years of professional experience, with proven experience in senior roles within the transportation infrastructure of at least 11 years.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven experience as a project lead or team manager on at least 2 other railway projects in a similar capacity.
 </li>
 <li>
 At least 3 years of previous working experience in GCC region (Gulf Cooperation Council) required, with deep understanding of local regulations and project environments.
 </li>
 <li>
 International membership in professional transportation or logistics organizations is a plus.
 </li>
 <li>
 Extensive knowledge of global best practices in transportation and logistics management, with a successful record of delivering complex infrastructure projects.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong analytical, leadership, and project management skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with digital planning and project management tools.
 </li>
 <li>
 Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
 </li>
 <li>
 Willingness to travel as per project/client/company requirements.
 </li>

 Junior PMO Manager for our Qatar branch

 Your responsibilities:
 
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Assist in the implementation and maintenance of PMO policies, standards, and processes in alignment with project and client requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor the progress of project initiatives and support the collection, verification, and analysis of execution data.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support executing teams in initiative planning, risk identification, and mitigation activities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Help develop, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) in coordination with the PMO team.
 </li>
 <li>
 Gather and analyse project data to prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate regular updates with project teams and contribute to the preparation of progress presentations and reports.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support the Senior PMO Manager in managing stakeholder relationships, including coordination with contractors, consultants, and client representatives.
 </li>
 <li>
 Participate in risk management and change processes, maintaining accurate logs and documentation.
 </li>
 <li>
 Facilitate knowledge transfer for ministry staff.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure that all project documentation is regularly updated and compliant with governance standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Attend meetings as required, recording minutes and tracking action items for follow-up.
 </li>

 Your profile:
 
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Master&rsquo;s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or related field (advanced degrees preferable).
 </li>
 <li>
 At least 5 years of professional experience, with proven experience in senior roles within the transportation infrastructure of at least 3 years.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven track record in delivering at least 2 major railway projects in a similar role (Junior PMO Manager, Project Coordinator or equivalent).
 </li>
 <li>
 At least 2 years of previous working experience in GCC region (Gulf Cooperation Council) required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with project management and reporting tools (e.g. MS Project, Primavera, Excel, Power BI).
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to collaborate in multicultural teams and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with international project management standards (e.g. PMI, Prince2) beneficial.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management abilities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Fluency in English; Arabic language skills advantageous.
 </li>
 <li>
 Willingness to travel as per project/client/company requirements.
 </li>
