Full job descriptionThis job posting is for employment at an independently owned and operated franchisee of Denny&rsquo;s.As a Service Assistant you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the entire interior and exterior of restaurant. Duties of this position include, bussing tables, washing dishes and rotating and storing stock. Candidate must be able to lift 30 lbs., bend, stoop, reach, wipe and lift, have sufficient mobility to move and operate in work area, must work inside and outside, observe and ensure health requirements for cleanliness are met, and must meet any state, county or municipal regulation pertaining to health risk concerns about food handling.Duties<ul><li>Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met.</li><li>Assist in bussing tables by clearing away used dishes and utensils promptly after guests finish their meals.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including sweeping and mopping floors as needed.</li><li>Help with food preparation tasks as directed by the culinary team, ensuring all food handling guidelines are followed.</li><li>Support the kitchen staff during busy periods by assisting with basic cooking tasks or food assembly as required.</li><li>Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly to uphold safety standards.</li><li>Participate in banquet setups and breakdowns as needed, contributing to a smooth service experience for large events.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Previous experience in food service or culinary roles is preferred but not required.</li><li>Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.</li><li>Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.</li><li>Basic knowledge of food handling practices and safety protocols is advantageous.</li><li>Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork in the hospitality industry.</li><li>Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks within the kitchen environment.</li></ul>Join us in creating memorable dining experiences by ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently!Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: From $14.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Employee discount</li></ul>Work Location: In person
