Rocket Supply is a leading manufacturer of LPG delivery trucks, with over 65 years of service throughout the Midwest. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Shop Laborer. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the assembly and fabrication of propane trucks, ensuring they meet industry standards for safety and functionality. Key Responsibilities
<ul><li>Work within right production schedules to meet company needs.</li><li>
Assist in the assembly and fabrication of propane trucks according to blueprints, schematics, and specifications.</li><li>
Perform tasks such as cutting, welding, drilling, and fitting components to build propane truck bodies and systems.</li><li>
Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with safety protocols and regulations.</li><li>
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.</li><li>
Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and equipment using forklifts and other machinery.</li><li>
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the assembly process.</li><li>
Follow instructions from supervisors and adhere to production schedules to meet project deadlines.</li><li>
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards before delivery to store locations.</li><li>
Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge related to propane truck building and safety procedures.</li><li>
Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the overall operation of Rocket Supply.</li><li>
Cross-training adaptability amongst several disciplines.</li></ul> 
Position Qualifications
Experience/Education
Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Required Work Experience:
<ul><li>Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in automotive or heavy equipment assembly
</li><li>Basic knowledge of hand and power tools commonly used in fabrication and assembly work.</li><li>
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.</li><li>
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.</li><li>
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.</li><li>
Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.</li><li>
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.</li>
Willingness to adhere to safety guidelines and wear personal protective equipment as required.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Preferred Qualifications: Vocational training or certification in welding, fabrication, or a related field.
Communication: Quality verbal communication abilities in a team-based environment
Additional Requirements:<ul><li>
Experienced working with propane systems or familiarity with propane industry regulations</li><li>
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems</li>
Experience operating machinery such as plasma cutters, brake presses, and saws.

Ability to move about in a workshop environment.
</li><li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus</li>
The noise level in the work environment is often elevated due to machine operations.
