 Job Description
 
 
 
 DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a highly motivated General Laborer/ Landscaper with a great attitude and strong ethics. This position is responsible for performing the day-to-day job functions that support all field operations.
 
 
 
 MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Loads and unloads equipment.
 </li>
 <li>
 Trash and large debris pickup.
 </li>
 <li>
 Weed cutting and removal.
 </li>
 <li>
 Tree trimming.
 </li>
 <li>
 Drives company vehicles.
 </li>
 <li>
 Uses all power tools safely.
 </li>
 <li>
 Uses all equipment safely.
 </li>
 <li>
 Landscaping
 </li>
 <li>
 Herbicide application
 </li>
 <li>
 Performs other duties as assigned.

 Qualifications
 
 
 
 EDUCATION:
 
 
 
 High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
 
 
 
 EXPERIENCE:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 18+ years of age or older.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to travel away from home for 1 week at a time approx.: 6-8 weeks of travel throughout the year.
 </li>
 <li>
 Landscaping &amp; herbicide application experience required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Must have a valid driver's license with 5 years clean MVR.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to lift 50-60 pounds.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prior vegetation spray, paint, or tree experience is preferred.
 </li>
 <li>
 CDL license is preferred not required.

 Job Description
 
 
 
 We are seeking a highly skilled Traveling Diesel Mechanic with extensive troubleshooting experience in medium and heavy-duty truck systems. This role is ideal for a self-sufficient, diagnostic-focused technician who can accurately identify issues and complete repairs efficiently &mdash; the first time.
 
 
 This position requires frequent travel throughout Texas, Louisiana, and other surrounding states. Candidates must be comfortable working independently in the field with minimal supervision.
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Travel between job sites to inspect, diagnose, and repair medium and heavy-duty diesel trucks, skid steers, and related equipment.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of:
 </li>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Diesel engines
 </li>
 <li>
 Electrical systems
 </li>
 <li>
 Hydraulic systems
 </li>
 <li>
 Emissions systems (aftertreatment/DEF systems)
 </li>
 <li>
 Transmissions
 </li>
 <li>
 A/C systems
 </li>
 <li>
 Hi-Rail gear systems
 </li>
 <li>
 Spray systems
 </li>
 </ul>
 <li>
 Utilize scan tools, diagnostic software, multimeters, pressure gauges, and other testing equipment to accurately identify mechanical and electrical failures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and preventative services.
 </li>
 <li>
 Demonstrate strong working knowledge of diesel emissions systems and electrical diagnostics.
 </li>
 <li>
 Complete repairs efficiently and correctly on the first attempt through accurate root-cause analysis.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform fabrication, welding, and cutting as required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain service truck organization, tool inventory, and parts accountability.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate repair updates with management.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure full compliance with company safety standards and DOT regulations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Work extended hours as needed and operate effectively in all weather conditions.
 </li>
 </ul>
 Qualifications
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Minimum 5+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably with heavy-duty truck repair.
 </li>
 <li>
 Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and emissions systems (REQUIRED).
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong understanding of aftertreatment systems and diesel emissions components.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven ability to work independently in remote environments with minimal supervision.
 </li>
 <li>
 Fabrication and welding experience required.
 </li>
 <li>
 ASE certifications are preferred but not required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Valid driver&rsquo;s license required; must be able to pass a DOT physical.
 </li>
 <li>
 Willingness to travel 100% frequently across multiple states. (Hotel accommodations and per-diem provided by DCS)
 </li>
 <li>
 Must provide verifiable employment history and hands-on experience.
