Job Summary We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and organized Legal Assistant/Secretary to join our law office. Our bustling immigration law firm is seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Legal Assistant/Secretary. If you're bilingual in English and Spanish, possess strong organizational skills, and have a passion for immigration law, we want to hear from you!**Key Responsibilities: **- Answer phones and calendar appointments.- Enthusiastically greet office clients/guests.- Prepare USCIS applications and packets with meticulous attention to detail.- Assist in preparing files for immigration court proceedings and applications for relief (I-589, 42A, 42B, AOS, etc.).- Conduct research and gather relevant documentation for cases.- Communicate effectively with clients and government agencies.- Maintain case management systems and update case statuses regularly.**Additional Duties:**- Draft legal correspondence and documents.- Assist the attorney in preparing for hearings and trials.- Assist with client intake and initial consultations.- Perform administrative tasks as needed to support the legal team.- Collect client payments and issue payment receipts.**Requirements:**- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). and Adobe- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.-Prior experience in immigration law of at least 2 years is required.**Pay and Benefits:**<ul><li>-Pay is commensurate with experience.</li></ul>-Paid vacation and holidays.If you're passionate about helping people and ready to make a difference, this is the opportunity for you!
