Pay: $60,000&ndash;$65,000/year DOE + full benefits (estimated value $10K&ndash;$15K)
About the Role: 
This role focuses on managing a diverse team of technicians, ensuring efficient workflows, and maintaining our high standards of service, quality, and regulatory compliance. You&rsquo;ll play a hands-on role in daily lab operations while leading and developing your team to deliver timely and accurate microbiological testing for our food industry clients. While microbiology knowledge is helpful, we&rsquo;re especially looking for someone who excels at leading people, solving problems in real time, and setting the tone for teamwork, professionalism, and accountability.
What You'll Do:<ul><li>
Lead, coach, and support lab technicians on the microbiology floor</li><li>
Ensure daily staffing and workflow to meet deadlines</li><li>
Reinforce proper lab techniques and retrain on the spot to ensure accuracy and consistency</li><li>
Support ongoing development, training, performance, and team accountability</li><li>
Handle real-time issues calmly and effectively, maintaining a culture of professionalism and service</li><li>
Coordinate with Lab Manager and respond to client needs</li></ul>
What You Bring:<ul><li>
1+ year of team leadership or supervisory experience (lab, food production, or similar)</li><li>
Strong communication and problem-solving skills - motivate, coach, accountability</li><li>
A positive, hands-on leadership style, with solution-oriented mindset</li><li>
Lab or food industry experience is a plus, but not required</li><li>
Ability to stand for long periods of time and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs</li></ul>

Microbiology Dept Floor Lead - Food Laboratory

Our location in St Louis, MO is currently looking to hire temp to possible full-time, entry-level Microbiology Technicians. (40 hours/week plus benefits included)
We offer a competitive salary based on knowledge and experience. This position includes full health benefits for self and family (employer pays for 90% of employee premiums and 50% of dependents on our base plan). Required Skills/Abilities:<ul><li>
Entry Level Position: We Are Happy to Train</li><li>
Must have an interest in learning basic knowledge of microbiology and to accurately perform testing procedures and obtain accurate results.</li><li>
A basic knowledge of personal computers is useful to accurately enter testing data and results.</li><li>
Planning skills are useful to maintain supplies of analysis materials and ensure analysis is completed within a specified time.</li><li>
Basic math skills are essential to complete analysis.</li><li>
Physical dexterity is required for manipulating samples.</li></ul> 
 We'd Love to Hear from People With:<ul><li>
Previous experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, food industry, food service, baking, baristas, or retail.</li><li>
Strong problem-solving skills, ability to multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>
Skills to communicate effectively and develop good working relationships with all employees.</li><li>
A professional workplace appearance, ethical conduct, honesty, and integrity in all communications.</li><li>
A thirst to seek out and participate in appropriate training and professional development.</li><li>
Fluency in written and spoken English is required.</li></ul> 
Physical Requirements:<ul><li>
Occasional exposure to laboratory fumes, chemicals, and materials will occur when in the laboratory.</li><li>
Safety equipment of gloves, laboratory coat, and eyeglasses may need to be worn depending on the testing process.</li><li>
Extended time spent in a standing position.</li>
Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally and 10 &ndash; 15lbs repeatedly.

Our lab location in Twin Falls, ID is hiring a full-time Food Laboratory Technician and two temporary to possible hire Food Laboratory Technician. (40 hours/week plus benefits included).
