Position Description:
Administers leaves of absence (LOA), ensures that employee leaves are tracked appropriately and acts as liaison and resource for employees and management regarding leaves and leave processes.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Leads leaves of absence programs and ensures compliance with the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Military Family Leave Act (MFLA), Americans with Disabilities Act Amendment Act (ADAAA), and the organization&rsquo;s Workers&rsquo; Compensation (WC), Work Accommodations, Short Term Disability (STD), Long Term Disability (LTD), and other leave policies/plans.
 </li><li>Communicates with employees regarding their needs for leave, restrictions, and/or modified work schedules. Ensures employees are aware of their responsibilities and of any documentation and notice required to qualify for and to take leave.
</li><li>Acts as a Liaison with the organization&rsquo;s disability administrator and internal stakeholders to ensure proper administration of leaves of absence consistent with applicable laws and company policies.
</li><li>Facilitates other leave requests, responsible for the interactive process of requests for accommodations under the ADA.
</li><li>Administers other company time-off programs as assigned in accordance with internal policy and applicable laws.
 </li><li>Reviews and recommends revisions to company leave policies as needed to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
 </li><li>Responsible for creating and maintaining accurate leave records and administering leaves within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and timekeeping system.
</li><li>Maintains communication with employees on leave to facilitate smooth and timely return to work; relays communication between employees and their managers during leave as needed.
</li><li>Coordinates the return-to-work process including the timely and accurate entry of return-to-work dates into the HRIS system and management of employee paid time off.
 </li><li>Monitors leave programs for on-going compliance of federal and state regulations for leaves of absence program and public notice postings for the company and affiliates.
</li><li>Facilitates weekly issue resolution call with third party leave of absence administrator.
</li><li>Collaborates and coordinates with HR Business partners, the payroll department, employees, and management to ensure that proper communication and coordination takes place.
</li><li>Acts as subject matter expert and provides general knowledge and training for employees and management regarding, FMLA, ADA, WC, STD, and LTD.
</li><li>Maintains knowledge of all applicable leave and accommodation laws including the FMLA, ADA, and state and local laws.
</li><li>Works with HR legal resource on an as needed based to ensure compliance to federal, state, and local regulations.
</li></ul>Perform other related assigned duties as necessary to complete the Primary Job Responsibilities as described above.

Minimum Requirements:
Position requires a bachelor&rsquo;s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field and three years of experience in leave of absence and/or disability claims processing using a Human Resource Information System (HRIS). Previous experience administering disability claims in a union environment preferred. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
Position requires knowledge of relevant state and federal regulations; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills; excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; the ability to apply and interpret general principles to specific situations; the ability to work independently; effectively prioritize work and consistently meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines; and to identify and resolve problems.

Position Description:
To coordinate the administration of processes relating to leaves of absence and Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and timekeeping system.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Provides information to employees and coordinates the leaves of absence programs including but not limited to Medical Leaves of Absence (MLOA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Military Family Leave Act (MFLA), Americans with Disabilities Act Amendment Act (ADAAA), Workers&rsquo; Compensation (WC), Work Accommodations, Short Term Disability (STD), and Long Term Disability (LTD).
</li><li>Analyzes leave of absence requests, determines absence program eligibility and issues corresponding regulatory, policy, and procedural documentation.
 </li><li>Responsible for creating and maintaining accurate leave records in HRIS and timekeeping system.
</li><li>Coordinates for on-going compliance of federal and state regulations for leaves of absence program and public notice postings for the company and some affiliates.
</li><li>Assists with back up and data entry in HRIS including but not limited to terminations and timekeeping adjustments.
</li></ul>Perform other related assigned duties as necessary to complete the Primary Job Responsibilities as described above.

Minimum Requirements:
Position requires an associate's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field and two years of experience in disability claims processing using an HRIS in a confidential office environment. Three years of experience in disability claims processing preferred. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
Position requires knowledge of relevant state and federal regulations; knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications; strong verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; the ability to apply and interpret general principles to specific situations; the ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities with competing deadlines; and the ability to identify and resolve problems.
