Role Overview:</b></h2><p>
We are seeking a motivated Electrical Designer to join our team. This role is vital in driving our project success across diverse sectors, including multifamily, affordable housing, hospitality, adaptive reuse, tenant improvement, high-rise, and mid-rise projects. You will leverage your expertise in electrical design to create effective, energy-efficient, and sustainable solutions while ensuring compliance with local codes and industry standards.</p><p>
This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment where your contributions will directly impact the quality and success of each project.</p><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Key Responsibilities:</b></h2><ul><li>
Assist in electrical design for various project types and deliver projects across multiple delivery models, including design/bid/build, design assist, and full design.</li><li>
Develop contract drawings from Schematics through Construction Documents under supervision of Professional Engineers and Senior Designers.</li><li>
Effectively communicate design options to internal project team.</li><li>
Obtain and apply knowledge of building codes and electrical industry standards.</li><li>
Apply engineering principles to electrical distribution, lighting and power systems design.</li><li>
Perform engineering calculations and equipment selection.</li><li>
Assist with site visits and draft field reports.</li><li>
Attend meetings with clients and project teams.</li><li>
Support construction administration, including responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals.</li><li>
Contribute strong problem-solving and analytical skills.</li><li>
Collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment to produce integrated project documents, ensuring cohesive design strategies and solutions.</li><li>
Manage project time efficiently, contributing to timely project delivery and adherence to quality standards.</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Basic Qualifications:</b></h2><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in engineering or similar related field of study, or equivalent work experience.</li><li>
Experience in electrical engineering practices within the building construction industry.</li><li>
Basic knowledge of Revit/CAD modeling software and Bluebeam or other PDF editing software.</li><li>
Skilled with Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel.</li><li>
Must be located within the Seattle area to support in person meetings as needed (Hybrid office attendance will be established once physical office has been identified).</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Preferred Qualifications:</b></h2><ul><li>
FE/EIT or plan to acquire in near future.</li><li>
Experience modeling electrical systems &amp; compiling construction documents in Revit.</li><li>
Practiced with utilizing and interpreting the NEC.</li><li>
Knowledge of Washington State and Seattle codes and sustainable design practices.</li><li>
Past Electric Utility coordination, including experience with submitting service applications. SCL and PSE experience strongly preferred.</li><li>
Experience with design of Electric Vehicle charging infrastructure.</li></ul><p><b><i>
