Role Overview:</b></h2><p>
We are seeking a dynamic Mid to Senior level Plumbing Designer or Engineer to join our team. This role is vital in driving our project success across a range of sectors, including high-rise and mid-rise multifamily, affordable housing, commercial office, and retail TIs. You will be responsible for leveraging your expertise in electrical design to create effective and sustainable solutions, with a focus on integrating energy-efficient designs and ensuring compliance with local codes and policies.</p><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Key Responsibilities:</b></h2><ul><li>
Support plumbing design for various project types and deliver projects across multiple delivery models, including design/bid/build, design assist, and design build.</li><li>
Design plumbing systems, including calculations of water, gas, sanitary/sewer, and storm loads.</li><li>
Coordination of water, gas, and sewer connections with civil engineers and architects</li><li>
Develop project specifications and perform site evaluations.</li><li>
Attending meetings with clients and project teams.</li><li>
Develop contract drawings from Schematics through Construction Documents.</li><li>
Review of project submittals for product data and shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and engage with contractors to find creative solutions during Construction Administration.</li><li>
Establishing design standards and criteria for projects, preparing calculations, reports, and specifications</li><li>
Performing fire suppression system selection, preparing preliminary designs, and creating performance specifications.</li><li>
Proactively enhance technical quality by staying updated with emerging technologies, evolving building codes, and advancements in the industry.</li><li>
Collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment to produce integrated project documents, ensuring cohesive design strategies and solutions.</li><li>
Engage in the development of tools and templates.</li><li>
Manage projects efficiently, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and adherence to quality control processes.</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Basic Qualifications:</b></h2><ul><li>
Minimum: 5-7 years&rsquo; experience in plumbing engineering within the construction industry</li><li>
Proficient in Revit, Bluebeam, and the Microsoft Office products</li><li>
5+ years&rsquo; experience modeling plumbing systems &amp; compiling construction documents in Revit</li><li>
Experience with UPC Appendix M Peak Water Demand Calculations</li><li>
Minimum of 2-5 years&rsquo; experience with Seattle, King County, and WA building codes</li><li>
Must be located within the Seattle area to support in person meetings as needed (Hybrid once physical office has been identified)</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Preferred Qualifications:</b></h2><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in engineering or similar related field of study, or equivalent work experience.</li><li>
Expert knowledge of Washington State and Seattle codes, sustainable design, and heat pump water heating system design.</li><li>
Experience designing and coordinating heat pump water heating systems.</li><li>
Experience designing and coordinating rainwater/greywater harvesting systems.</li><li>
CPD or CPDT is preferred.</li><li>
FE/EIT or PE license is preferred.</li><li>

Key Responsibilities:</b></h2><ul><li>
Lead mechanical design for various project types and deliver projects across multiple delivery models, including: design/bid/build, design assist, and design build.</li><li>
