DEMA Engineering Co. has an excellent opportunity for Staff Accountant to join our Finance Team at our world headquarters located in Kirkwood, MO. We are looking to fill this position with a well-qualified individual dedicated to their craft and looking for an organization worthy of the same dedication. Our Staff Accountant will be responsible for providing accounting support to the Controller, recording daily and monthly transactional activities while adhering to GAAP and Dema Engineering Co. accounting policies. This includes record preparation, research, and reporting related to general ledger activities, month-end closing activities, reconciliation of accounts, financial-related reports, schedules, and audits.

This position will report to the Controller.
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger account reconciliations for all types of accounts, including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and intangibles, to ensure accurate reporting and general ledger reliability</li><li>
Prepare monthly journal entries</li><li>
Assist with financial statement preparation for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, including consolidations</li><li>
Perform variance analysis
</li><li>Perform cost accounting analysis, collecting, and analyzing operational cost data. Presenting job cost variances to production planning and operations teams</li><li>
Participate in continuous improvement and other special projects</li><li>
Assist in the preparation and filing of monthly and quarterly state sales taxes</li><li>
Participate in the implementation of the new ERP system for subsidiary companies</li><li>
Accounts receivable and payable (backup role)
</li><li>Budget preparation</li><li>
Year end audit support</li></ul>
Position Requirements:<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or another related field</li><li>
2-5 years accounting experience</li><li>
US GAAP knowledge</li><li>
ERP system knowledge, preferably Epicor</li><li>
Proficient excel skills, including VLOOKUP's and Pivot tables</li><li>
Confident working independently and using initiative to guide through challenges</li><li>
Able to use judgment and independent thinking in the resolution of issues and in interpretation of data and ideas</li><li>
Strong integrity and ethics</li><li>
Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to balance multiple projects at a time</li><li>
Exceptional analytical, problem solving and business acumen skills</li><li>
Strong interpersonal and communication skills</li><li>

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced, and reliable Stock Room Associate to join our Logistics team. As the Stock Room Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate distribution of parts and materials to production areas, contributing directly to operational efficiency and product quality.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Education, Training, Skills and Licenses<ul><li>
Previous experience with stockroom processes such as picking orders and inventory counts is helpful but not required.</li><li>
Ability to read and understand requirements on orders.</li><li>
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.</li><li>
Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.</li><li>
Must be comfortable working on elevated platform.</li><li>
Forklift certification is at Company's discretion.</li></ul>
Essential Functions
<ul><li>Read and understand requirements on orders.</li><li>
Pull and count parts from assigned locations with barcode scanning device and correctly document on orders.</li><li>
Verify stock for shortages and defective products.</li><li>
Ensure that work centers have sufficient quantity of parts to completely assemble products.</li><li>
Good attendance is required for this position.</li><li>
Safety sensitive position.</li></ul>

Work Environment
This job operates in a manufacturing environment with no air conditioning and loud machine noises. Employees are required to wear safety glasses at all times.
