 Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
 </li>
 <li>
 Radiography &amp; Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
 </li>
 <li>
 Compliance &amp; Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations..
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
 </li>
 <li>
 Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

 Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 or
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Six months on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation)
 </li>
 <li>
 X-Ray certification
 </li>
 <li>
 Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended
 </li>
 <li>
 High school diploma or equivalent
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Dental Assistant
 
 are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
