This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting dedicated to promoting healthy smiles.Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring all tools and materials are prepared efficiently. Manage patient records using Dentrix , maintaining accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Take and develop X-ray images while practicing proper aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to safeguard patient health. Perform vital signs assessments and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care. Operate 3D scanners and other medical imaging equipment to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning. Coordinate with the dental reception team to schedule appointments, verify insurance details, and handle administrative duties seamlessly.Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, dental terminology, and anatomy knowledge. Experience working with EMR systems such as Dentrix for accurate medical records management. Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures within a dental clinic environment. Familiarity with dental specialties like prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry to support diverse patient needs. Ability to operate X-ray machines safely while adhering to radiation safety guidelines. Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical coding, and documentation practices for accurate billing and record-keeping.
