Responsibilities:
<div><b>
You will be responsible for the following:</b></div><br>
<div></div><ul><li>
Greet and engage patients with respect and a smile.</li><li>
Ensure patients are well informed and comfortable - before, during, and after their appointment - about their treatment and oral health.</li><li>
Take and process dental radiographs, impressions and intraoral photos.
</li><li>Prepares and sterilizes treatment room and equipment.
</li><li>Provide chair-side assistance to Providers during treatment procedures.</li><li>
Documents orthodontic care services by charting in patients&rsquo; records.</li><li>
Assist the orthodontist in assessing a patient's teeth and implementing a plan to<br>
straighten them.</li><li>
Perform routine orthodontic duties, including cleaning and adjusting orthodontic<br>
gear.</li><li>
Maintain a clean, sterile, and patient-centric working environment.</li></ul><div>
Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g, OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, Employee Handbook).</div>
Qualifications:
<div><b>
You will be required to possess the following:</b></div><ul><li>
Six (6) or more months of practical experience as an orthodontic assistant.</li><li>
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.</li><li>
Orthdontic Assistant Certification (Preferred).</li><li>
Quick learner with problem solving skills</li><li>
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality</li><li>
Technical and troubleshooting skills for software applications used for charting, patient records,<br>
scheduling, etc.</li><li>
Ability to demonstrate proficiency in fitting bands and brackets, tying in arch<br>
wires and taking consistent, accurate impressions.</li><li>
Desire and ability to learn new skills and be a team player.</li><li>
Commitment to being punctual and reporting to work on time.</li><li>
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.</li><li>
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>
Strong interpersonal skills and the desire for professional growth.</li><li>
Be organized and possess a superior knowledge of dentistry and dental terminology.</li></ul></div>
