This is a 20-hour-per-week contract position supporting two essential program functions: coordinating and stewarding the through the 2026 Design School for Regenerating Earth (DS4RE) Learning Journey, and the day-to-day community and program coordination for the(LHC) and programs.As the Regenerate Cascadia Community Steward, your core purpose is to ensure all participants within our BioRegen program (Cascadia cohort members within the DS4RE Learning Journey, Landscape Groups, and Landscape Stewards participating in the LHC) experience the programming as clear, accessible, and well supported. You will serve as a central point of coordination and continuity, ensuring that:<ul><li>program information flows to participants through a variety of channels in a consistent and efficient manner;</li><li>participants receive timely and effective onboarding and support across all relevant technical platforms used for our larger goals of bioregional organizing;</li><li>emergent participant needs are recognized and support processes and resources are developed to meet these needs (in collaboration with the broader RC team) 4. participants feel oriented across Regenerate Cascadia&rsquo;s programs and have a central point of contact, particularly for technical platforms and support.</li></ul>Cascadia Cohort Learning Journey Steward The 2026 DS4RE learning journey is a six-month, cohort-based program that delivers bi-weekly online webinars, global community calls, and integration sessions while connecting participants into a wider planetary network of Bioregions. Within this larger container, Regenerate Cascadia&rsquo;s Community Steward convenes and coordinates a Cascadia-specific cohort of people who want to deepen their understanding of bioregionalism and bioregional mapping, build place-based relationships, and most importantly&mdash;move from learning into practical action within Regenerate Cascadia programs. Over the last few years this has become central to supporting the learning and engagement required to join our BioRegen programs. As the Learning Journey Steward of the Cascadia cohort, your core purpose is to support participants in not only accessing the learning available, but also building pathways for participants into tangible bioregional organizing opportunities with Regenerate Cascadia, such as our Seed and Landscape Groups programming. As the Learning Journey Steward you are also working within a marketing and communications capacity&mdash;externally representing Regenerate Cascadia and our programs, and helping to source new potential participants.Landscapes and LHC Community Steward As the Regenerate Cascadia Community Steward your focus shifts to internally supporting our existing participants within our online Community of Practice and regular online gatherings. You will directly support participants with both the Landscape Group Program and the Landscape Hub Cultivator and will work closely with the administrators and managers of these programs. This means attending weekly work circles with internal Regenerate Cascadia staff, as well as attending most online program sessions with participants, such as weekly Classrooms and Office Hours, and monthly Content Sessions and Landscapes Community calls.The Landscape Group Program includes group onboarding and technical setup, responding to ongoing technical and logistical questions from Landscape Stewards, triaging issues as they arise, and proactively building a suite of support resources for emergent needs and ongoing development.The Landscape Hub Cultivator pilot includes directly supporting logistics management, tracking participation and other reporting and documentation elements, supporting curriculum tools (such as session recordings and online polls), ensuring that learning summaries and process updates are shared regularly within the online community of practice, and working with the LHC delivery team to respond to emergent participant and design needs.Technical, Communications, and Relational Role Aspects A significant portion of the role focuses on communications and technical stewardship. As the Community Steward you support the management of Regenerate Cascadia&rsquo;s Mighty Networks spaces (where we house our online community of practice), support Zoom session logistics, ensure recordings are captured and archived on YouTube, and post regular updates and events on the Regenerate Cascadia website and social media channels. You also prepare and send regular communications to participants, including weekly updates that summarize recent activity, upcoming sessions, and how people can stay engaged.The role requires comfort working across a core set of digital tools, including Zoom, Mighty Networks, WordPress, Google Workspace, YouTube Studio, Mailchimp, Canva and Adobe Creative Suite, and social media platforms. It requires care, consistency, attention to detail, ability to learn quickly and to manage competing priorities within short timeframes. Mostimportantly, it requires communicating with and building enduring relationships with many diverse people. Together with the existing Regenerate Cascadia team, you will help to ensure our community receives the information and support they need in a timely manner, help to grow skills, knowledge and capacities across a broad network of passionate regenerators, and support our participants to be co-creators within our vision. At a moment when many people are seeking grounded ways to respond to ecological and social disruption, this role helps hold and shape the practical backbone of a growing bioregional network that honors Land and right relationship, and promotes right livelihoods in local communities and ecosystems across Cascadia.Role Snapshot Time commitment Approximately 20 hours per weekCompensation $30 per hourContract type 1099 Independent ContractorLocation Remote (within Cascadia preferred)Availability Consistent online presence during scheduled meetings and events. Must be available for recurring program sessions, office hours, cohort calls, and community calls. Must have reliable internet and the ability to host and manage online sessions without disruption.Duration Commences April 20th through October 2026 with potential option for contract renewal (workload peaks during active Cascadia Cohort Learning Journey - March 17th through September 2026)2. March 25th - Successful applicants will receive a selection of Work Sample tasks to choose from on March 25th to complete within a 48 hour timeframe (no more than 2-3 hours of work is required, Work Sample tasks accepted up until midnight March 27th).3. April 2nd - Shortlisted applicants will be notified and invited to book a suitable time via Calendly to attend a 60 minute interview on either April 8th or 9th.4. April 8th and 9th - Shortlist interviews take place (please keep these dates free in your calendar)5. April 15th - Successful candidate notified and onboarding schedule created 6. April 20th - Community Steward role commencesSupervision and Coordination Works in close coordination with Brandon Letsinger and Clare Attwell (Regenerate Cascadia Co-Administrators) and Taya Seidler (LHC Program Manager). Reports to Taya and team for LHC-related work, and to Brandon and team for Landscape Group work. DS4RE Cascadia Cohort Coordination <ul><li>Coordinate bi-weekly Cascadia programming, including a monthly cohort-focused learning session and a monthly community or field-building call</li><li>Host Cascadia Cohort sessions using Zoom and coordinate event listings in Mighty Networks</li><li>Support participant onboarding into the DS4RE Mighty Networks space and the Regenerate Cascadia Mighty Network</li><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for cohort-related inquiries via email and Mighty Networks</li><li>Attend bi-weekly DS4RE-related sessions, including bioregional updates and design labs</li><li>Support participant connection pathways into Seed Groups and Landscape Groups in coordination with Regenerate Cascadia leadership</li><li>Maintain and update cohort information on the Regenerate Cascadia website, including key dates, how to join, and what to expect</li></ul>2. Landscape Group Program Support <ul><li>Attend Landscape Group work circle meetings, weekly Office Hours and monthly Landscape Steward Community calls</li><li>Lead the onboarding into all technical platforms and regular reporting of new Landscape Groups and Landscape Stewards</li><li>Serve as a primary technical and logistical point of contact for Landscape Groups Respond to questions related to platforms, calendars, email access, and shared tools Triage issues and escalate more complex or sensitive matters to Regenerate Cascadia leadership as needed</li></ul>3. Landscape Hub Cultivator Program Support <ul><li>Attend Landscape Hub Cultivator work circles, curriculum sessions (most)</li><li>Support session logistics, including program scheduling, session reminders and follow ups, processing and posting resources, and coordination for action-learning projects as needed</li><li>Track participation and support program delivery team with emergent reporting and documentation needs</li></ul>4. Communications and Weekly Updates <ul><li>Draft and send weekly email updates to Landscape Hub Cultivator, Landscape Group, and Cascadia cohort participants</li><li>Summarize recent activity, upcoming sessions, and key reminders</li><li>Draft short newsletter-ready updates for Regenerate Cascadia communications via Mailchimp</li><li>Maintain simple email templates for repeatable workflows (welcome emails, session reminders, post-session follow-ups)</li><li>Coordinate messaging with Regenerate Cascadia administrators and LHC Program Manager as needed</li></ul>5. Mighty Networks Platform Stewardship <ul><li>Manage Regenerate Cascadia&rsquo;s Mighty Networks spaces, including participant onboarding, calendar and event postings, internal updates, and resource organization Keep the Cascadia Resource Area updated in DS4RE and Regenerate Cascadia spaces</li><li>Respond to participant messages and questions in a timely manner</li><li>Implement lightweight community-building practices such as welcome posts, periodic prompts, and orientation support</li></ul>6. Session Recording, Archiving, and Publishing <ul><li>Ensure all Zoom sessions are recorded to the cloud</li><li>Download session recordings and upload them to YouTube with appropriate playlists and descriptions</li><li>Post follow-up updates internally on Mighty Networks and externally on the Regenerate Cascadia website</li><li>Ensure recordings, notes, and next steps are shared promptly after sessions</li></ul>7. Website, Blog, and Social Media Updates <ul><li>Publish program updates, announcements, and recap posts on the Regenerate Cascadia website</li><li>Maintain accuracy of calendars, event listings, and links</li><li>Draft and post program-related updates to Regenerate Cascadia&rsquo;s social media channels</li><li>Share announcements, highlights, and upcoming events</li></ul>8. Participant Onboarding and Technical Support <ul><li>Provide technical onboarding for new participants and groups, including Mighty Networks access, Zoom links, and navigation of shared resources</li><li>Act as the first point of contact for technical or access issues across all programs Escalate issues related to conflict, safety, or program integrity to Regenerate Cascadia leadership</li></ul>9. Program Evaluation and Continuous Learning <ul><li>Track participation patterns, attendance, engagement, and drop-off points across programs</li><li>Design and implement lightweight evaluation methods such as polls, short surveys, and reflection prompts</li><li>Share actionable insights regularly with Regenerate Cascadia administrators and Program Manager</li><li>Escalate issues early when participant experience, program integrity, or community health may be at risk</li></ul>10. Internal Coordination and Reporting <ul><li>Attend weekly Regenerate Cascadia staff meetings and provide concise updates Share notes on participation patterns, issues, and upcoming needs</li><li>Support internal documentation and continuity across programs</li></ul>Relevant Skills and Experience Required <ul><li>Experience supporting, facilitating, developing online communities, programs, and/or cohorts</li><li>Strong written communication skills and ability to convey complex information within short forms, such as emails, updates, and announcements</li><li>Comfort in the role of technical host and administrator for online sessions Strong organizational skills and attention to detail</li><li>Ability to manage recurring tasks reliably without close supervision</li><li>Willingness to work within a dynamic team environment within an emerging and pioneering field</li><li>Ability to track participation and implement simple evaluation processes that produce usable insights</li></ul>Preferred <ul><li>Familiarity with bioregionalism, regenerative organizing, or place-based community work Experience supporting community-building practices and group process, including healthy meeting structures</li><li>Experience working in nonprofit or community-based programs</li><li>Comfort balancing relational care with operational responsibilities</li><li>Experience translating feedback into real-time program improvements</li></ul>Pay: From $30.00 per hourExpected hours: 15.0 &ndash; 20.0 per weekWork Location: Hybrid remote in Seattle, WA 98101
