Position Summary:</b><br>
The Institutional Libraries Learning and Development Senior Consultant provides library leadership and technical advice for the Institutional Library Development Office as described in Colorado Revised Statutes 24-90-105. This senior consultant works with multiple state agencies responsible for adult prisoners, residents, patients, and youth in detention and educational facilities to ensure institutional libraries that support their agency's missions to educate, treat, and transition residents to Colorado communities. The position reports to the Institutional Library Development Director.<br>
<br>
The final salary is anticipated to fall within the posted salary range; however, it may be higher or lower, depending on the preferred candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and other qualifications, while considering internal equity.<br>

<b>Major Duties and Responsibilities:</b><ul><li><div>
Lead youth and adult institutional library-specific projects and initiatives in learning and development, including institutional library onboarding for library staff and supervisors, technical and soft skills, skill acquisition, knowledge enhancement, service excellence, operational efficiency, and effectiveness, and guiding library staff in the development of training for resident workers.</div></li><li><div>
Participate in and support projects and initiatives specific to institutional library technical services, technology, access services, user services, administration and planning, budgets, policy, procedure, and accreditation.</div></li><li><div>
Collaborate with and advise facility managers and staff of Colorado Department of Education, Colorado State Library, Colorado Department of Corrections, Colorado Department of Human Services, Colorado Library Consortium, Colorado community libraries, and other state and national library and correctional organizations to provide library staff and services that meet statutory requirements and institutional library standards.</div></li><li><div>
Develop, promote, and apply policy, standards, best practices, and assessment measures for institutional libraries.</div></li><li><div>
Assess institutional libraries; report on the effectiveness of programs, collections, and services; and provide resources that support and encourage continuous improvement.</div></li><li><div>
Coordinate, design, and conduct professional development to address stakeholder staff training needs.</div></li><li><div>

Position Summary:</b><br>
The Institutional Libraries Access and User Services Senior Consultant provide library leadership and technical advice for the Institutional Library Development Office as described in Colorado Revised Statutes 24-90-105. This senior consultant works with multiple state agencies responsible for adult prisoners, residents, patients, and youth in detention and educational facilities to ensure institutional libraries that support their agency's missions to educate, treat, and transition residents to Colorado communities. The position reports to the Institutional Library Development Director.<br>

The final salary is anticipated to fall within the posted salary range; however, it may be higher or lower, depending on the preferred candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and other qualifications, while considering internal equity.<br>

<b>Major Duties and Responsibilities:</b><ul><li><div>
Lead youth and adult institutional library-specific projects and initiatives in access services (circulation, resource sharing, user access to electronic resources, library space management and design, user experience, and collection maintenance) and user services (programming, outreach, alternative services, readers' advisory, community engagement, reference, and marketing services).</div></li><li><div>
Participate in and support projects and initiatives specific to institutional library technical services, technology, learning and development, administration and planning, budgets, policy, procedure, and accreditation.</div></li><li><div>

Coordinate, design, and conduct professional development to address stakeholder staff training needs.
