<p></p><div>Under the direction of the Education Research and Evaluation Administrator I of the Data Visualization and Insight Office, the Research Data Specialist III (RDS III) performs most of their duties in the Software Engineering domain and acts as the lead to extract, compile, and analyze data from various data collection systems, along with data stored in the Department's data warehouse. The RDS III will also process and analyze TK-12 educational data and design and conduct a wide range of complex research and data analysis that help inform data requests from specific policy makers and administration within a 30-day time frame. This position functions as a senior subject matter expert on the data to appropriately synthesize and interpret the information to develop novel insights, conduct data quality checks, prepare data visualizations that are featured in reports and data narratives, and make recommendations to support the administration and policy makers make decisions. The RDS III will also need to collaborate with staff internal and external to the department as well as produce one-time, short-term, and long-term reports that support high priority initiatives and programs.<br>
