Sitter &amp; Barfoot Veterans Care Center; named for two Medal of Honor recipients &ndash; Colonel Van Barfoot and Colonel Carl Sitter &ndash; provides the gold standard in quality care for Virginia&rsquo;s Veterans. This single-level facility features 200 single-occupancy rooms across three nursing units.<br>

Sitter &amp; Barfoot Veterans Care Center (SBVCC) is recruiting for a full-time Housekeeper/Porter on the 7A-330P Shift and will include every other weekend.<br>
<br>
Job Duties Include:<br>
<br>
<ul><li>Ensuring the facility is kept clean by dusting, mopping, sweeping, damp/wet mopping, polishing, scrubbing, vacuuming, trash removal and for the removal of bio-hazard waste.
</li><li>Keeping their assigned areas clean and attractive</li><li>Promoting sanitary conditions to prevent the spread of infection</li><li>Ensuring all equipment is in working order</li><li>Completing their daily routine however, each staff member is cross-trained in all other areas of Environmental Services and can be asked to perform other duties as needed.</li></ul></div>

Minimum Qualifications</b></p>
<p>
1 Year Prior Housekeeping experience required.</p>
<p><b>
Additional Considerations</b></p>
<p>
Experience working in a long-term care facility or hospital preferred.<br>
Experience stripping and waxing floors, extracting and bonnet cleaning of carpets.</p>
